During my Powerball dreams, I envision a 1965 AC Cobra with a 428, but in real life, I was researching 5.0 swaps and Factory Five replica Cobra kits.

Then, when that gets real expensive and unrealistic I started searching 5.0 swaps on the internet and I've seen a few people sticking them in a Mazda Miata donor car. Now that looks like a fun little vehicle.

Just curious if anybody on here ever stuck a V8 into anything it wasn't originally in and what kind of headaches are involved.

i put a 306 in a mazda pickup it went in pretty easy, the only clearance trouble was the fans and belts , it ran 13.2's:pepper:

A local guy has a 5.0 is a mid 80's Saab that is purple. I haven't seen it in a few years, but it was different. Personally I like the mod motor swap kit's they have in the Ford Racing catalog for the Focus. I think it would be fun to have a Focus hatch back with a 96-98 Cobra engine in it.

There Was A Company In California That Was Building Them. This Miata Was The Last One Built But Wasn't Finished Completely Because The Owner Of The Company Went Jail And Someone Else Had To Finish It.
