Hi guys. I'm looking to recirculate my wastegate on my car. I'm trying to figure out the best way to do this. I have a 44mm Tial gate, and I have a stainless steel flanges that are for my gate. I was planning on buying a flexible piece of exhaust pipe and welding flanges on both ends and connecting it to my down pipe. Problem is that my down pipe is mild steel, not stainless. is that something that I can weld together, and will it be okay under heat conditions? I want to be able to remove this and cap both ends should i desire to switch back and forth. I'm just looking for some ideas. I have an HP Performance turbo setup. I can take some pictures tomorrow for visuals. Thanks for the help. :goodidea:

Yes you can do that.
Here is my build thread: http://www.steelcitystangs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26379
The Focus only has half of your cylinders, so just imaging you're seeing double. :D

Thanks sporadic. I wish those flanges and v bands weren't so expensive! this is going to be costly. I've been wanting the option to add and remove open wastegate.

At least you can use 2" v-bands for your wastegate. The 1.5" v-band is nearly impossible to find so I had to use those flat flanges. I'm loving the 3" v-band on the rest of the exhaust though!

:) I'm hoping i'm going to love mine. the problem with v-banding everywhere is that where my down pip is I almost need it on a band clamp so i can move it around. If i v band it, then i'll never be able to make it longer or shorter if i change my setup.
