I have a 1994 cobra with low miles that is really nice.
I love the car but when I was younger I shattered my left knee
And now when I drive a stick shift my knee hurts.
I may take a shot at selling the car and if it doesn't sell I'm thinking of
switching to over to an automatic. Has anyone ever done this switch
on a 5.0 94-95?
Does this transmission work on it's own with no computer telling it
what to do?
What am I going to get into?

the computer does control the trans , i would think selling and getting an auto would be much easier, you just wont find an auto cobra

Sell and buy another one. For the price of the cobra. You could get a reg auto gt 5.0 for ALOT less and make it the way you want with the extra cash and less of a headache

if you really want to do the swap, I will have a v6/5.0 bell pattern 4r70w for you in about a month or two

Eh, I like computer controlled automatic shifting better than MVB.

The actual Indy Pace Car Cobra Convertibles ( used for the race ) were autos. But these guys are right - I think you'd make out better as far as $ goes if you sell the Cobra and buy a nice clean auto GT.
