I have a 89 GT with a 1.5 KB, heads, cam exhaust etc. I had it tuned a few years ago when it was an auto. I converted it to a stick about 2 years ago and I think it needs to be tuned again. The auto had a converter that stalled around 2800 rpms so I Sony think my car is tuned for anything full throttle below that. I think I hear pinging if I floor it at rpms below 3k. I think I need to get the KB rebuilt also as it uses/loses oil. I alo have a flowzilla manifold I would like to put on this winter.
My questions are:
1. Have you tuned many fox KB cars?
2. Can you rebuild the KB?
3. Does a swap from auto to manual require a tune?
I am not sure what chip I have in my car now. It was tuned probably 6-7 years ago by Kauffmann Motorsports out near Carlisle. I am thinking it is a sct chip.
Thanks!

Thanks for your consideration Ray but we stopped tuning 95 and older a long time ago. We really don't even wrench on them anymore to be honest, way to busy with the s197 stuff. Your best bet would be to get back in touch with Dave Guy.
Good luck and let me know if there is anything else I can do for you!

Thanks. Bummer. I was excited to get it done locally. The drive to Carlisle and back is brutal in one day. They also mistuned the car once and had to take it back out there the following week.
