Stock Fox front spring install

This might be a stupid question, but I'm about out of ideas, so here goes: How in the hell do you reinstall the stock front springs in a fox body? I've tried spring compressors, chains, long bars, etc... & no luck. I'm not really looking to commit suicide to get them either. lol What is the magic trick? Lowering springs are not an option at this time until the car is finished & I see how it sits with the new drivetrain.

Never have done it but if I were to try the first thing I would do is remove the bolts that hold the control arms in, and jack up the a-arm with the springs installed until the bolts can be re-installed.

Do you have access to a lift?

I compress them outside the car, strap them with a bunch of mechanics wire on 2 sides, install them and then cut the wire loose. Make sure not to wrap the wire on the upper and lower end of the spring, once the spring seats you would have a hell of a time getting the wire out. Not the safest but if you make about 15 loops on each side and then tie it off, it has always held for me.

Like Lou said, but I used the giant zip ties that the HVAC guys use. Works like a charm.

Uhm i just held them in place and put a jack under the control arm works for me.

Well, I think I have it under control now. I used a ziptie, chain & prybar to locate the spring & pop it into the pocket, then just jacked the control arm up to go into the spindle. I'm pretty cautious around front coil springs as I've seen them go through a block wall in the past, luckily no one got hurt during that incident

I do as Mark said. Takes me about 45 minutes being careful and by myself to do each side.
