Going from an 08 to a 13 is a big difference, lots of advancements over the years!

Cant wait to go for a ride in it bud!

Nice truck. Keep an eye on those running boards, I have the same ones on my f350. The finish is dull is some spots and wont clean up.

VERY sweet! I think that would be your second one while i'm still on the same truck :( I would love a truck like that but don;t think I can live with a diesel dually as a winter daily ride ... This has been my hold up, getting a truck the right size for towing, yet live with it daily ... they keep "upping" the tow capacity of a lot of models that are making it more practical to get a 1/2 ton truck for me.

my old man just picked up a new 1/2 ton silverado and i was shocked at what it's towing capacity is. more than capable to tow a car and trailer.

Any 1/2 ton truck will easily haul a heavy car (4000lbs) and a trailer (2000lbs).

Thanks guys. Still working on learning how to use all the features. I think the locking rear axel is a nice one. I wasn't shopping hard for a new truck but this deal came up and I jumped on it.

Bob I think mine as equipped with the tow package can tow 11k? I think Max payload is 1700. Gvrw is 7300 I believe. My buddy with same exact truck pulled a 10k plus boat no problems.

I couldn't be happier with how my little sixxer that could pulled the pig 13 with 2.5 pigs down to Bowling Green! Smooth sailing, like when I was pulling my 24' box with a 3/4 ton. Ecoboost 1/2 ton FTW:highfive:

Actually, I think it is the third. Picking it up tomorrow morning. Didn't go with the dully, but did go with a Cummins and a Mega Cab.

Nice ed. Post up some pics. I considered a diesel but after doing some research I decided against it. I couldn't justify buying one and then voiding the warrenty to make it run like it should by deleting the emmisions crap. I also do alot of short trips which is hard on that stuff from what I read. In the end I think ill be more than happy with this trucks performance and the cab is much bigger than my dodge which suits my needs better.

LOL, not sure I would count Frank as half, and I think the aluminum trailer partially offsets the car weight ;) No dubt they pull, beside Scott's claims, everyone else has said just what you have.

Excellent, post up pictures when you get it.

Exactly why I have shyed away from a diesel too. I only go ~12 miles a day to work, it would take longer to warm it up than get there.

I'm interested in your comment about cab size, I need to go drive one now ... I had felt the Dodges had more room. You don;t have the same concerns as us other fat guys ;)

Huge thread about it on YB as well. As well as the owner of the truck hates it and cant wait to trade it in.

I never said they cant be a good DD, but we used it to tow and thats not the only time it was ever used for hauling and still nothing good to say about it

Bob, true I don't have "fat Guy" problems but I have "short man" problems. The power adjusting pedals and telescopic wheel fix them nicely. Up front the truck has as much or more room than my dodge even with the full center consol. The rear is huge. Even with the seats all the way back 2 full size adults can sit very comfortably in the rear. Now the bed is only 5.5 feet so you loose there. The leather 10 way power heated/cooled seats are very comfortable, fat Guy or skinny Guy :)

I haven't towed with it but my buddy with the exact same truck towed an 11k boat with no problems. 4th and 5th gear @2k rpms. The integrated trailer brake is a nice feature too. What's great is the truck makes peak tq @ 2500 rpms where the 5.0 do't hit peak till 4250.
