It will be more for you. I'm just not sure how much. I'm almost certain you will need rad supports and a few other misc things. If interested, go thru tousley ford. Their prices cannot be beat. Here is the site. Tousleyfordparts.com

Not to go off topic but, I think I remember your car now parked next to Phil with the Silver GT500 at Sonic. TCTC member?

Haha yep my Sig, I actually have my entire windshield tinted btw. Its not something that's done a lot but it really finishes the look of the car.

I have mine done also and it makes a world of difference. My cars windows are all pretty dark and you learn to get used to it. My garage queen is double layered 5% all the way around with 20% on the windshield. DD is single 5% all around with 20% on the windshield. Might go down to 5% on my windshield for the cobra though.

I don't understand how you guys don't get pulled over or have problems with inspection. Let alone driving at night!

Oh..I'm not saying I don't get pulled over. I just pay the $109.50 and move on. I have an envelope stuffed full of tickets around here somewhere. I just think it looks ALOT cleaner (as I'm sure 1320goat does also) than having a strip halfway down your windshield. The strip seems to be alot more noticeable to cops also.

As far as seeing, it really isn't as bad as you'd think. Like I said, you get used to it. Just like getting used to a slammed car, catless and straight-thru exhaust, etc.

EDIT: It also has ALOT to do with what vehicle it's being done to. For example, I get stopped about 10x more in the cobra than I did in my TL-S. I planned on coilovers/wheels for the Acura but decided against it just for that reason.

Very true!

Usually goes something like:

1. Bills coming up soon

2. Found a great deal on parts I don't need

3. Bought parts I don't need

4. Put it on the credit card

5. Enjoy new parts

Sorry for getting the thread off topic OP. New front end looks great!

Can also just use the 13 GT Hood, in lieu of the 10-13 GT500 hood as a lesser expensive alternative.

On this car I just have 35% on every window. The darkest I've ever been was 5% all around with 35 on the windshield. Living in the south hills and driving thru mt Lebanon can be a pain. I swear those guys have a vendetta against tint. As far as night driving goes its not bad, it really cuts out a lot of glare from oncoming traffic.

goat. does the glass roof have any effect on the tint with visibility in the car that would have been harder before?

Good question, when I slide my shade back on the glass it doesn't seem dark at all. Which is nice at times, but when I close my shade and all the windows are up you really can't see inside. The glass roof is just awesome I love it

New heat exchanger..nice unit. It came polished aluminum but it wouldn't look right with the open grille I put on so I painted it black.

I don't think many people have this h/e yet. I know a ton of people went with vans h/e. I took a chance on this one. Its all plug n play, so no splicing wires. When the weather gets warmer ill get some datalogging done to compare iats with vans unit.

1320 - not sure if I asked you this before or not - are you the original owner? A buddy of mine had the identical car and traded it in with like 1100 miles on it. He loved the car but chose to get rid of it for personal reasons. Just curious if it is the same car.

It really looks great! Keep up the good work!

Edit: oh snap - his car didn't have the glass roof. I can't wait to get mine!

Ok, I got the stock h/e off. As you'll see in the pictures the silver condenser rad has to be painted black. So I'm gonna have to turn the heater up in the garage and get back to it a little later.

Ok, New h/e is in...but there's a slight issue. With the pump is located, it will definitely be noticed thru the new upper grille. We will see what it looks like when I get the front end back on.

SteelTownStang
01-19-2013, 12:06 PM
Yeah, you're definitely going to see that pump through the new grille opening. Maybe you can relocate it closer to the right (driver's side) behind the closed portion of the grille?

1320goat
01-19-2013, 02:07 PM
Yeah I think so too. I looked at every option of relocating, but it can't be done without extending my wiring harness and getting new hoses.

Seer
01-19-2013, 02:44 PM
you'll need to relocate it in the same area where the 2013's put theirs

Not sure if it was your car or not, but I saw one just like that turning onto Clifton Rd off McMurray awhile back. If it was you, the exhaust note on that thing was perfect.

Several members over at TS have swapped out their grilles... and added H/Es. I don't remember reading anything on relocating the pump, but I'm sure that they can provide some helpful information if asked: http://www.teamshelby.com/forums/index.php/topic/75175-finally-2013-grilles-are-installed/page__hl__2013

I just finished up relocating the pump. The only spot I could find was behind the steel bumper on the drivers side. I had to move the horns out of the way slightly. I also had to cut the aluminum spout on the rear of the h/e. It was angled towards the passenger side of the car, I cut so it comes straight out of the back. The only thing left to do is extend my wiring harness to the pump. All of this just for the 13 upper grille :duh: .. But the end result will absolutely be worth it. More pics next time I get into the garage!
