The scooter I'm picking up has Nitto Drag Radials on the back in the stock size 245/45/17. This is just a weekend car for me and I don't know if I'll ever make it to the track. Will these things handle ok for cornering and if I get caught in the rain? Should I sell them and put a set of 555 on the back to match the fronts ASAP?

Basically, can I run them till the wear out and get something else or are they going to put me on my roof and kill me? :rotflol:

Thanks.

Yes and they corner fine.

That's the only tire I run out back. Once the tread gets low just take it easy in the rain if you get caught like PJ said.

Adam the couple of times I had it in the rain it was with those tires and I didn't have to much problem. It will spin a little easier when you are taking off from a red light or stop sign but they aren't bad. As for cornering I thought they handled better then the Eagle VR's that were on there when the car was new.

BTW... I still have 2 of the eagle VR's and they still have some tread left on them... LMO if you want them and I'll bring them when I bring the car.

they do great in the rain as stated. but once the tread gets low they get hairy.. drove mine today and didnt spin(unless i was trying to) and they dont have too much roll into the corners...
