95 Turbo 5.0 Project

Figured would start a post on my budget turbo build. I'm doing single t70. I'm building the hot side using reversed ford racing shorties. I'm building hot side because I want turbo on driver side, plus my motor has fox timing cover and alt bracket and elec water pump. Also have gt40p heads and didn't want to take chance with headers. I also using Scott Rod Fab inter fender panels and will paint and clear engine bay to match car.

Well got it up and running, still got some bugs to work out with tuning and such! Running 60lb injectors and an sds stand alone ( thanks torqboxer!) went a lil dif rout with turbo it's actually 99 1/2-03 7.3 powerstroke van turbo

Thanks guys I will get numbers as soon as I can... But just having it out running pig rich it's a beast! It spools 10 lbs at like 3200! I got aem wide band now goin to get it tuned lil better this weekend.... Can't wait to see how feels not so rich!!

Mark it was def worth work! Don't have ton of money in set up I pretty much made everything! All my expense was in headers, and the sds and injectors. I had the turbo, picked up used wastegate. My intercooler, cold piping, and bov came from cx racing. The intercooler and pipe are great quality! People say their blow offs leak a lil but it looks like a nice piece... But even if it does leak a lil it's not big problem cause with the sds or even a carb setup you don't have a maf anyway!

Yep fired right up! Had to lean it out some to get to rev over 3500 lol... Seems like just got to play with mp fuel value now I seems perfect with 10 or more vac, soon as gets below ten and into boost that seems like only rich area. But it's really coming along thanks again Ben!

Got it cleaned up! Actually had hood come up on me!!! Put a hurt on hood, killed windshield, ripped hood hinges off car!! dent fender and such.... But it's back together now! Been doing some cruzing around open down pipe, think goin to finish exhaust this weekend.

That sucks man, I had that happen to me in my Thunderbird SC once, scared the shit out of me and killed a hood and windsheild! Glad it's all back together!
