I am looking into getting a garage floor coating and just wondered if anyone on the forums have. If so did you have it installed or do it yourself. What brand did you use and how has your experience.
Thanks
Ben

We did our farm garage ourselves. We used some commercial stuff from Sherwin Williams. I forget what it's called, but they actually send a representative from the company to make sure it's being used properly. It turned out great, and is resilient, but it isn't cheap. I can get you more info and pics if interested

U-coat it is supposed to be much better than what you can get at the big box stores.
Also send gpfarrell a PM - he had his garage floors professionally done and they are AMAZING!!! Tell him I (Ron) sent you his way.

I used Home Depot Rust-Oleum 2 part epoxy and do not recommend it. The floor looked great at first but within a year with light traffic it started chip. I even had the garage floor professional high pressure washed with stripping chemicals before applying.

You might look into polyaspartics. A buddy of mine used to work for Linex in Fairmont, and in addition to bedliners to also got into floor coatings. They coated my front porch and so far it's great. I'd definitely consider it in my garage if I ever get around to coating it.

Ben, if you can wait till spring/summer I could do a concrete overlay for you. simulated tile, or granite. Even a flagstone look if wanted. Quite a few texture options really. Doing my garage in the spring so you will be able to see what you think if interested.
BTW, I still wanna check out your ride.

John - didn't realize you do this type of work. Is there a website where I could learn more about the product?
