i think the outside looks good, and we all know the pushrod chevy motors can put down a lot of NA power. i hear sitting in the car and driving it is horrible, though.

I cant hate Camaros. a 580 hp 70 1/2 z28 is where i learned about speed cammed beyond belief with open headers going through the fort pitt tunnel made me love all muscle cars.

I read on another site the MSRP will be "on par" with the current ZL1 --- $55K.

there are things I like and things I dont like. According to motor trend they said they were told that the base price would be close to 60k.

With that said. If its true and it does cost that, Seems its just being built to give buyers another option instead of the zl1.

The fact is Ford doesn't care if Mustang is the sales leader in this segment.

They care more about Ford CAFE mpg average and total units sold.

Look up the history of Mustang, the base V8 models account for a large percentage of
total Mustang sales. This gets back to the original pony car concept. A base model with
a small V8 for the pony car vibe. The 4.6 is the modern base V8 and if it was an option
on the base model Mustang it would generate a lot more sales.

Because it doesn't have that V8 rumble, it probably doesn't even get better
gas mileage than a 4.6 in real world driving (power to weight)

I do get what your saying. In some ways i dont like how Mustangs usually are the cheaper V6 options. But in the same token in 1969, there were so many engine options. 200, 250, 302, 302 4B, 351, 351 4B, 390, 428. (Boss 302/429)
