Opening Day. YAY.

Anyway, I was there along with a few other SCS members so heres my results and im sure everyone will post theres as well.

New Best: 11.2 @ 120
Also had an .000 light on my last run.

Got three runs in today, track was packed but seemed to run a little smother than usual. Got hot outside real quick though. 60's were worse than last year so maybe i need some fine tuning.

So, i think im doin well for the old Stock block, stock E7 heads, and stock cam at the local track.

went 11.85@116 for first time racing buddy's 02ss
played back the log file i took and i noticed it broke the tires loose on the 3-4 shift. also ECt temps were 200* and IAT temps were 95* that along with not powershifting [speedshifting instead] its not a bad time especially being a complete full weight Fbody and then some.

come cooler weather that car hopefully will see 11.5s the way it sits with 17x9s on front and full weight + iron block+ autocross subframes + burning oil issue & etc

owner of car went 12.1@ 118 short shifting the car around 6400rpms

Great day course it took me 3 passes to get the fn clutch adjusted properly. Ah well the 60's were decent considering it was first day and hardly any rubber on starting line.

Rear gear held up so I will punish it some more sunday :hyper:

i was there also. I did not have as good of a day the car only went 11.80 do to problems in the 60ft last year they were 1.56 this year 1.69. It felt like the car was pulling out in 2nd gear. I think the converter might be going bad or I have other issues.

It was nice to meet some other members though.:awsome:

I was only selling crap on Saturday, but Balaska and another buddy of ours thrashed on my heap, and I made it out for yesterday. '69 Cutlass, got to line up with Ares a couple times. Popped a fuse first pass, and then skeered him into bulbing last pass. :sticktonge: Right Ed?? We had some fun.

I got your bulb right here Chucky :grumpy:

This saterday out comes all the dead weight and let the games begin

But hey I'm ready for some bracket racing. 12.98 @ 104, 1.70 sixty, 12.98 @ 104, 1.70 sixty and a 12.96 @ 104, 1.70 sixty with all the other times down the track damn near the same is pretty damn good with a stick car. I think it would have gone 12.7's with better air and low 12.8's with all the dead weight removed. Least I have an idea on how my car should run in early summer with the air we had this past weekend.

Thanks to Mickey Mustang for pointing me in the right direction in figuring out my clutch issues. Made last two passes trouble free on the 1-2 shift. Little touchy on the street but I can deal with that knowing it's like butter at the track.
