It had a few mods - probably a biplane wing, a fart can, and some aerosol nawzzzz.

Probably a stage 1 tune. I asked my friend that has a brand new STI if it could do 150 and he told me they were rated for 148mph....So he thinks the car was modified some.

On the same road where a guy in a Terminator killed a little girl in a CRV. Such a shame.

There's a time and a place to drive a car 150MPH, it surely isn't on a 55MPH highway.

I went looking for the type of car right after I had read the article yesterday. A 17 yr old kid has a car he says goes 150, I had my doubts. Definitely had to be tuned to shutoff the limiter. I always get a kick out of people who tell me their (insert generic car here) was doing 120 MPH, when most of them are locked down at 111 or 115 or so. I always ask what the speed rating is on their tires and explain computer limiters, "i don't know about any of that but I did 120".

So lets get this all strait... a 17 yr old kid in a modified WRX and a 21 yr old in a Neon SRT4 were racing.... but the WRX was behind him IN TRAFFIC at 150 MPH. someone pulls out and the WRX Rear ends the neon.. and is now going to testify against him in court...... atleast he stopped and went back for him...

still not sure the 1000 + feet of black marks is possible. but sounds to me like the guy in the neon is about to get hosed.

Exactly my fiance had a coworker explain how his grand prix GTP was doing 170 , completely stock. He got pissed when she asked it it was KPH instead of MPH lol
