Has anyone used ucoat it? Or hired someone? Not sure what it would cost to have a small two car garage done. I did my rental house with a Do it yourself kit from lowes or home depot buy it didn't hold up well at all. Thanks

Greg (gpfarrell) had his floors done professionally and they are gorgeous. He will probably weigh in here when he gets a chance.

I used Ucoat it on my new floors 4 years ago. I decided against the clear-coat option, but now I wish I would have bought it. The floors are heavily scratched up floor normal foot traffic during winter months. The salt/cinders really put a beating on my floor.

how hard was the whole process I was not sure if it would be worth the money having someone do it. I just so busy at work time is a always a factor for me too. I also did want to go with the clear coat option.

The process was easy. I'm sure there are some tricks and even some better materials that the professionals use.

From what I read/understand, the prep work is the biggest factor towards final product.

I had good luck with the lowes/home depot brand in my old house garage floor. I also really cleaned it and etched it before I rolled the paint on. It never peeled up or anything with hot slicks or DR's.

Yeah like mentioned above. Acid etching is the main and most important thing for long term durability. Usually just a watered down muriatic acid in a spray bottle....

correct I used the acid based cleaner. The non diluted stuff was used on the oil/greese spots.
