I just picked up some 17 X 9 black bullitt wheels for MRS. Sonics 90 ragtop GT and im curious to see what size tires fit well on this car with no issues. Any pictures would help also.

I know Ted(03CobraVertWV) had 5 spoke Terminator rims on his 91 LX with a 5 lug swap and ran the stock 275/40/17 on them.
It's lowered without spring isolators and he has rubbing issues up front.
I figure some isolaters would take care of that but he just lets it rub haha.

245/45/17 all around. Work with no issues can keep the quad shocks and the tires are cheap due to their common size.

you running them on 8" or 9" wide tires? thats the stock size for 17x8 rims...seem a little small for 9" rims.

Rear doesn't rub. I'm fairly certain he does not have quad shocks either.
His front is just too low. He has Eibach springs.
If it were my car I'd just go with the spring isolators, but I'm not big into the "dude you gotta lower that ride" thing either... Jared.. :snicker:

I have 17x9 Torq Thrust M wheels with 275-40-17 tires. They seem to be pretty good

It's not lowered or anything, all stock.
