I think it looks great. Rumors are that it is going to have 450 HP and 400 lbs lighter. That thing should move out!

Ugly, but should be a fun car to drive. At least you don't have to look at it while you drive...

I don't care what it looks like if it has an n/a 500 horse mill under the hood.

I hope you're right ... not feeling it! But again when my first reaction is negative on new designs I end up liking it, verses when I like it out of the gate I get tired of the design quickly?

I think it could grow on me but I really hope they do something a little different with it.

I bet the different models will look significantly different with different headlight and grill options. I think it has a lot of potential.

I pay no attention to this stuff. When the car is actually on the showroom floor, then I look. Most of the time the car grows on you regardless of what your initial thoughts were....just my opinion!

I agree. I liked the 2010-2012 Mustangs. I HATED the 2013-14 nose job but, now, those are my favorite ones.

All of Ford's new designs are too influenced by Japanese styling. They have never had a good sense of beauty or styling. They may build a better mouse trap, but their styling is predictable and played out. Now it's like a virus, their style has gone viral by shear volume. If you want to build a world car, it has to have certain styling cues.

Glad I made a move on the 14, not feeling the new changes. Then again, I didn't care for the 10-14 rear tail light styling at 1st either. I guess I need to see one on bigs and littles to to get the full effect....

I'll need to see it in person to make a decision.

Like the roofline a lot. Not feeling the rear diffuser or the nose - a little too long of a snout. I think I will always be partial to my '14. Some of the changes to the 5.0 sound great on the '15. Wondering if the lighter weight and shorter length will mean the back seat is even more useless. On some of the pics I've seen the stock ride height looks a little lower than the '14, and that is a good thing. Wondering if the IRS is going to be durable enough - and how long it will take the aftermarket to come up with upgrades for the IRS.

I agree Ron. The back seat keeps getting smaller and smaller. I am actually better off with my car as my kids are getting bigger (until they can sit in the front seat)

I didn't like the new car pics, but that video makes it look even more generic. I'm not feeling any strong American design influences, it looks like a homogenized global design done by committee.

I'm not feeling the new asian style that us automakers are going to. This and the new 2015 jeep grand cherokee look very japanese to me. I understand that they have to sell to the widest market available to try and turn a profit, but I don't dig the style.

A heck of a platform to build upon... SVT, Roush, Saleen,... and even Wolfpack, should have fun tweaking this machine. I'm holding out for SVT- under the moniker of a Cobra, Shelby, or whatever they want to call it, but "this" will be my next Mustang.

Lots of cool videos and information here. Might be old news for some.
The more and more I look at how they used airplane designs in the interior really makes this car grow on me.
If they were to come out with a mach 1 for say 2016 i'd be heavily tempted to sell the boss for one.

No way that's the final production underhood setup. Wiring mess on the left? fugly engine cover? Oh yes and please Ford, make that coolant tank more in the way than it already is! lol. OK maybe not so much in the way, but man does it stick out like a sore thumb without being black on top like the current mustang.

PaxtonShelby

I have to agree - the 2011-2014 engine bay looks 100x better - especially when you add some redline tuning hood struts! Hopefully they improve upon that before Job 1.

Most pictures from magazines to Ford itself state these are pre-production models. If they don't fix the engine compartment i'd be disappointed

Anyone see the first retail 15 GT that got auctioned at Barrett Jackson? It was one of those fund raiser deals so that explains the 300k sale price! But to my point, I thought it looked pretty generic and a little fugly under the bright lights. The front end looked like an angry fusion and the rear end looked bloated. Also noticed the few times they panned the venue that there was nobody at the official 15 Mustang display area. Myself I found the car neither exciting or repulsive, which seems to be what global designers are shooting for these days. The engineering and the high price are both impressive though.

PS curiously they also didn't show under the hood at BJ auction

I just cant get over that front end, although i do like the rest of the car. I think im just gonna refer to the 2015 mustang as the "Taurus GT" from now on. :)

I am not sure if I like that black "lip" in the front and on the sides. I can picture that getting sun bleached and looking pretty hazed in a few years. I would think for the price, engineers thought of that.

GT500s have been using the "splitter" since 2007 without any issues; except maybe dragging it on steep grades or catching it on those concrete parking stops. Just don't get wax on it, like any other matted surface, and it'll be fine...
