Problem with other member- bigmack

Maybe I'm just crazy or impatient...

So a member on here, bigmack, posted 03 cobra wheels for sale on craigslist. I met him later that day to look at them. We agreed upon $200 if he could keep the radials in the back which i didn't want anyways. So since I didn't have all the money (spur of the moment didnt have time to stop at bank) we decided that i would take the front two wheels and put $100 down. We then agreed i would come by again the next day (Monday) to pay the other $100, and pick up the rears after he got the tires taken off.

He texts me Monday at 2:30 saying that he will get the dismounted around 530. I wait all night, texting him every couple hours until about 9 when I decided to give up. I have now texted him about ten times, and called him 5 times and he has not answered. I keep telling him that if he doesnt get a hold of me that I am going to drive to his house to see what is going on and get my other two wheels.

I saw on here that he had a weird deal with an SVT contour he was selling, and that he never ansered another member when buying something. So does anybody know if he is trying to screw me or am I just being impatient? With cell phones and texting/email I dont see how he can ignore me for over 24 hours, unless hes ignoring me or something happened. If anybody knows him (Mack McCafferty) and could get a hold of him or let me know that he is truly good on his word (because he seemed like a really nice guy) would be great, thanks.

I'd say hang in there for a little while. There could be any number of reasons he hasn't gotten back to you...work...family emergency...anything. Even though it only takes a minute to reply, I know that sometimes I just don't have that spare minute. Hopefully it all works out for you guys.

Ya I'm going to give him a few more days, but after that I will be forced to go to his house. Like I said he was a really nice, genuine guy, lets hope that is truly the case.

If this is the same bigmack that I got parts off of in Trafford years ago, I wouldn't worry if I were you. He was a good guy to deal with, but like many of us, has a crazy schedule.

Ya I think it was you where he got the car inspected and stuff after you agreed to buy it and wanted more money. Just seemed weird/shady kind of like this. Still havent heard a peep and its been 48 hours.

Holy shit yes it is. He just texted me saying his son was in the hospital...but it said he was arrested the 4th and I met him on the 14th so that wasnt the reason he disappeared

It said domestic relations. And he got a dui last year. And it seems as though we will be able to meet up soon

UPDATE: There isn't one...

I have texted him about once a week to see if there is a chance that he will answer when I am headed out his way (to see friend). Haven't heard a peep. It has been 5 weeks since I met him.

Never know what you are gonna get on craigslist.

Its not the end of the world I guess. I got two 17x9 oem 03 cobra wheels with 255 michelins with about 4/32 tread for $100. So i can either buy new rears and all new tires or try and sell my front two. But what if I sell them or buy new ones and all of a sudden he contacts me?
