Yes the 2015 is supposed to be similar to the 2014 BOSS motor. The forged rods has my attention as that is a weak point of the 2011-2014 in boosted applications. I am hoping the address the oil pump gears.

As for everything i've read from Ford so far (including the leader of the Boss team) is saying the performance pack GT will be faster than the 12/13 Boss 302s. If thats the case, and with myself also in love with the car, may be getting a 15'.

Ecoboost running mid 12's, GT in the 11's and SC GT in the 10's with a few mods.

If you watch closely the Ecoboost gets some air under those stock front tires :awsome:

The live axle was never really a problem on a track, it was the street where there was an issue. I still prefer to have the live axle with some mods over the IRS.

I do like the new Mustang, but not regretting purchasing my '14 at all like I was worried I would. I bought mine very late to get the deep discount knowing the hype around the '15. The '15s are just too heavy and the performance increase is non-existent. And to get any equipment in the car at all it gets to 50K very quickly, which is why there is an M235i sitting in the garage next to the '14 and not a '15GT.

I stopped to look at the '15 at Shults in Hamarville. It was the Ecoboost model but I was really impressed. The styling looks great. No, it does not look like a Honda Accord or a 2 door Fusion. You really need to see it up close. The pictures do not do it justice.

Stopped at Shultz in Wexford and they had them set up side by side in lot '14, '15, '14, '15 etc. I can say honestly I think the '15 are better looking seeing them in person and being able to see the prior year right next to it. New ones are wider and seem lower.

The Guard color is umm not bad but not what I thought it would look like. Kinda like Mineral grey with a slight greenish hue to it. I can safely rule that color out though. Also was surprised there was a base GT with no options at all.

Not impressed enough to get rid of my 14. I didn't really notice any power difference from my car when it was stock. The ride seemed a little smoother. I got on it hard a few times but did a little slip and slide on some wet roads. I do like the interior better but I'll still keep mine as I am still not sure I like the looks.

Following year with the addition of an aluminum d/s, headers, cat delete, cai and a 3c converter, I got the car into 11.7x's. I just don't see how a bone stock na auto car with a generic bama mail order tune is going to go a half second faster than my car did in the same trim.

Just drove a new 2015 and 2014. Both feel about the same power wise. 2015 has a much more refined cockpit.
2015 handled much nicer on the snake hill test. I felt more connected to the road in the 2015. I didn't get any wheel hop with the new IRS.

It's not hard to average out the nearly impossible hero numbers with the can't drive for shit people running way slower than the car should to get a realistic representation of what cars run. I doubt it will be any better on 315/30r18 Hoosier A6s which have an even stiffer sidewall than the shitty factory Pirellis. I am gonna replace the upper arm then decide if I need to go poly in the factory lowers (class I will be hillclimbing/Autocrossing in doesn't allow changing factory lowers). I honestly don't think it will be much of an issue racing the car, just annoying I can't properly pound on it on the street.

Why did you make the change?I fully intended to buy a 15 and have been slammed at the shop since January, so I sold it, no time this year to have fun with it like last year. Got good money for the car but ultimately just don't want a 15 yet and wanted to have a car for next year so I took advantage of the 14 rebates and snagged one up!

I hear ya - but I'm just talking on the street. I don't want to have to buy new tires every 3000 miles. DR's might help on the '66 though. No wheel hop, but wow lots of tire spin! A mini tub with 315's would help a lot, but that's a major project.

I agree Mike. When I do get around to upgrading the suspension I want to do the shocks, struts, and springs at once, possibly with an adj panhard bar if needed. Rear arms would be next.

I did lowers and a panhard so far I have no wheel hop, I will be doing an upper just not sure which one yet , oh and I did Viking da shocks and love them

buddy of mine was at the dealer yesterday and said track pack '14's are going for 27k.

that's alot of car for 27k...he also said at willow springs the 15's were only 0.5 seconds faster than the 14 track pack cars.

Brembo car, no track package, but IMO I wouldn't pass up a great deal over it. The only thing you really get with the track package over a Brembo car is a better radiator, the excellent Torsen (compared to the trac lok) and an oil cooler. Listed at 27,400.

Stopped at Moon Ford last night and saw the '14 and '15 side by side. Both were "Track Pack/Performance Pack" cars. While I really like the quarters and rear of the '15 I don't like the hood & nose at all. The '15 had black wheels which I really don't care for, although the 275 width is exactly what the '14 needs.

Yeah, even though GM did with the 1LE and the Z/28 (well, almost). Still burns me to see the 1LE curb stomp the GT on track because Ford refuses to make a car that is semi-decent as delivered on a track. If my wife didn't hate Camaros (I didn't like the car itself either) there would probably be a 1LE sitting in the garage. The price difference was significant though.

Well "stomp" is a strong word. Wasn't it only a 1 second difference in lap times with Randy Pobst at the wheel? Most drivers can't wring as much out of a car as he can. Still - I hear ya. Bigger tires seem like as simple an upgrade as the factory could make.

Bama had nothing to d with except for the video and writing the check. They hired Justin of JPC to drive it, the car was built by JPC and they hired Kevin MacDonald to tune it at JPC on their dyno.....hell it's not even on a sct tune like the video claims they used Diablo, hptuners, and sct to get these results. Chris Rose of Bama admitted that this whole crew was at SEMA when this happened....only a few were at the track to film it.

so hats off to JPC and Kevin Mac!!!!
