Figured I'd post up myself up.I have been on a little while but never got around to doing this.I was btlfed88nb before the site changed and couldn't log back in under that name.I have a 93 notch with a 349(obviously) in in with a G Force 5 speed.I just got it together and is good to go other than an idle issue.I am from Petersburg(16669),Pa. and might have seen some of you around.Mill Creek Mafia is a good friend of mine and others I probably know I am sure.Well I'm glad to be here and looking forward to making it to Pittsburg Raceway sometime to see some of you including Pure Stock.I have to see the baddest stock shortblocked car on the planet in person.:awsome:

the previous owner put them in because the car had a turbo on it and the intercooler was mounted there.I have a new bumper for it and going to get it and the hood painted as soon as I get a few other things done

Welcome. Thats a clean, non busy engine bay you have there. Looks good. How does the tensioner work? The belt is going on the wrong side of it. Did you change the spring in there?

no I tried that and didn't work so I just have the tightest belt on there I can find.If you look real close you will see I don't have the top alternator bolt where it should.I put it over top the bracket to give me the tension I needed

Ahh, so you kinda used the alt as the tensioner? Good idea, how does it work? Any slipping of the belt?

the water pump pulley would move if I turned it with my hand but when I loosened the tensioner itself it had some movement back and forth do I jsut held it over toward the water pump pulley and tightened it up and now I can't move the water pump pulley at all so it seems to work good
