In the S197 section I posted about if/what 20x10 wheels will fit my '13 GT/CS.
In the event I decide to be cheap and not spring for new wheels, I have two options to keep close to the overall diameter from the stock tires (245/45/19). I can either go 255/45/19 and by 0.4" dia oversize, or 265/40/19 and go 0.4" undersize.
I would be torn which way to go. On the one hand I really don't mind a slightly bigger tire from the 255's. On the other hand the 265's give me that little more width BUT are the widest you can go on a 19" tire safely. Just not sure if Id get better performance from a tire that works best on 8-9.5" wheels (255's) or the 265's on the narrowest recommended wheel.
Which way would you go if you didn't want to buy new wheels.
PS - Michelin or BFG tire choices only please.
