I dont know why but we have been getting alot of road race cars up in here... Here are a couple we have built so far. The silver car is a customer that is kicking butt and taking names at track cross with a PB of 39.3 We instaled BMR frame connectors, procharger P1SC that made 461 rwhp and he totally stands on the throttle the entire time even in the 25 minute heats at Pitt Race. The red one is a local guy named Mitch, we initially installed the FRPP suspension kit with FR500 rims and nitto tires, headers, FRPP manifold, BBK headers, and a custom tune, we just finished the install of a procharger P1SC and it made a wopping 478 on 11psi, so we decided to turn it down to 8psi and it made 414, we feel that will work much better on the road coarse, the third mustang we did is a 2013 Boss, we did a full kooks exhaust, a procharger P1SC, roll cage, brakes, suspension and wheels and tires, this car made 604 on pump gas and 654 on torco and is an absolute blast to drive as you cant go WOT in any gear on the street without blowing the car sideways! We found that heat was a major problem with the supercharged road cars, so all of these cars got custom made radiator damns and heat shrouds along with hodd vents to get the heat out.

Hey Tim. Nice to see a post dedicated to us corner carvers. Looking forward to getting back out on the track and testing all the new mods you did for me this winter.

Do you have any pics of the roll cage you put in the boss?

260332603426035 here are some pics. cage is a bolt in. there are some brackets that are removed from the body under the back seat and I do believe they had to trim some plastic right behind the door jam. 26036the rear part acts as a shock support also. I believe it bolted onto the top shock mount. tim installed it for me he could tell you better on how well the install went.

Also this is more of a street bar and weekend road track bar. it wont pass NHRA standards only because of the rear bars cant be bolted on & have a bend in them, like these are. I was considering having tim add on 2 strait bars to make it pass a certification. but haven't had a need to get certified, "yet". almost pulled the trigger on a full cage this winter, but waiting one more year to decide if Im going to start competing in actual races. I do think im still ok for time trial competitions though. find out this year.

From what I can tell you should be ok for SCCA solo 1 (hillclimb, TT). Does it have a diagonal from the driver's side upper hoop? Looks like it in the pics. Have to check on the bends in the downtubes, don't like them at all but I think it is legal.
Do do you have sub belts for the harnesses? Can't tell from the pics.

Yes it does have the cross bar. That is an add on they actually call the scca cross bar. And it does have the submarine belt it's a 5point harness and has the proper cert tags on them.

Do you know what the wall thickness is? They will check that.

The wall thickness is ok. The mounting plates also need to be 3/16", which I am sure they are.

Yes it's the cooltec. I love the harnesses I got from them too. It has the boss logo on the latch. He only offered 2 colors on the website but I talked to him and he had it coated white along with the rear cross bar.one of the reasons I chose this bar is I didn't have to drill any holes thru the body. And at the time I was trying not to have to modify the car like that in case I wanted to go back to stock.
