Looking to get a subcompact to use as a conceal carry. Haven't really seen a bad review on this gun. I currently own a Beretta PX4 Storm 9mm but it's too large to carry concealed. Anyone have one? Here's the link. It actually comes with a lot of accessories too.

If you want a 9mm in a small package a Kahr PM9 is perfect.http://i841.photobucket.com/albums/zz332/gl0422/0A0BC558-8190-40FD-A2EC-F0C0C8068BCF-377-0000001F9A13D298.jpg (http://s841.photobucket.com/user/gl0422/media/0A0BC558-8190-40FD-A2EC-F0C0C8068BCF-377-0000001F9A13D298.jpg.html)

Love my xd. I find their design to feel a bit bulky for a CC. Best thing you can do is go look at them ( if you haven't already ) There are a ton of quality CC out there right now.

I like the safety setup on them. Is there anywhere close that has the Xd mod 2 in stock? I live in southern Somerset County. I was initially gonna get the px4 storm in a subcompact but it felt too small in my hands.

I'll look into that as well. Where do usually buy? My px4 came from gander mountain in Johnstown. I know there's a gun shop on scalp Ave that I've purchased ammo at. I think it's in the same Plaza as quaker steak n lube.

Cam99 owns a gun shop now if you could bring yourself to buy something from a camaro fanboy... the PM9 is very small.

Give the M&P shield a look for a subcompact carry gun. I have shot both the 9mm and the 40 S&W version. I will probably own one soon.

Xd mod 2 is awesome.....great design easily to cc as well I have played with both 9 and 40 and they are only slightly wider than the XDS 9. Store here in Fairmont actually has several of both in stock....I'm actually picking up a Mod2 40 tomorrow.

These are also nice guns but no XD.....keep in mind there is different versions of the shield in each caliber

What versions do you speak of? Both I shot were single stack mags.

OK. He's actually only like 30 miles from me I see. I'll probably be buying one in the spring so I'll go around and test drive some and then talk to him when I find one I like. I need to find an Xd mod 2 locally to hold.

You our are in Meyersdale, right? Hovers over by Rockwood always has a great selection on hand and their prices can't be beat. Typically atleast a minimum of $25-$50 cheaper than every other local store... Definitely a place to check if you haven't already.

Yeah I plan on stopping there as well. I didn't know he carried a big selection. Good to know.

Since I've started shopping there, I drive past about 4 or 5 other shops to get to Hoovers. I won't make the trip just to buy a box of ammo, but guns and "hot" hard to find ammo, you can't beat them.

Sporting Goods Discounters. Denny Salem owns it.......he can be kind of an arrogant dick. I worked for him for a summer during college. He will have some good deals from time to time if you can stand to deal with him. I'd give Cam a shot first. He's not far from Seven Springs.

Another thing to try is to find a gun range that rents pistols and go shoot several before buying. This is how we found out my wife can't shoot an XDS. The frame and design of the safety does not fit her hand right. She can not engage the safety to fire it. It was going to be her Christmas present but instead she need up with a Sig P290RS....another great carry gun imo

As long as he keeps buying me ammo and car parts, I really don't care what he calls the other women in his life!

I love my Sig p290rs. It's the perfect size to carry and it fits in my new purse perfectly. Only downside is the mile long trigger pull, due to it not having a safety. It took some getting used to, but now I love it.

I fully supported and encouraged Mike's purchase of the Mod.2 today. We first looked into buying one a few weeks before Christmas and I really liked look and feel of it. And I love the fact that I can actually shoot it with my small hands, so I'm really happy that he was able to pick one up.

I wonder if that long trigger pull is a Sig thing? I ditched a 250 9mm cause of it.

no1sirbutler
01-11-2015, 10:20 PM
There is no safety on her sig at all....so I'm assuming the long trigger pull is there version of a safety
