What do you want color wise?

I like the current colors. I use the one with white background. Makes it easy to read. I wouldn't be opposed to new colors but black and gold isn't the way I would go.

If there is every a black and gold style it will have to have a light text background. Black background with white text is brutal on the eyes.

I'm not a sports fan. if you end up going with black and gold don't make it look like an ad for the damn steelers or penguins. i could give a shit less about ANY sport without a steering wheel or bullets. :)

Maybe it would be better if we could actually see a black and gold theme... make it an option or something, at least on a trial basis. I'm not against it, but it has the potential to be really really terrible.

I switched mine back to the classic view on the computer. The white gets hard on the eyes. The darker background is better IMO.

i'm comfy with red/gray, white/blue burns my retinas, but yinzer would be too gaudy imo

The contrast helps some, but I think the issue people have is with the background of the actual posts, not the background of the site itself. (Since that is where the text they are reading is.)
