OP I agree and disagree but that fact is I would rather have a local form open to everyone then a ford only site with 5 people on it.

At least the new open community will add some needed flavor. Got a little sick of the following threads.

Cant believe some one wasted money moding a v6.
Cant believe some one did a turbo th400 swap to a cobra.
Cant shift so you put an auto in.
Such and Such shop sucks. (Then the post gets deleted by the admin)
Why did you build that car if you don't take it to the track?
What size wheels fit an bla bla bla mustang.
How can I get bla bla bla HP to hook up.
Why would you build a mustang to take turns.
Why would you build a mustang to just go straight.
How can I get such and such HP out of my car.

So with all that said... The site will be better.

There were tons of non ford guys on here well before this came an "open" format. I haven't owned a Mustang in probably 4 years now but I still frequent this site almost daily.

This place will only grow more and more as the word gets out locally that this forum is open to any kind of vehicle.

I think that it's honestly brought a lot of people back onto the site. Most of the guys on here all know each other so it's still a close knit community. Their were guys on here who don't own Ford's any longer that still contribute to the site. The difference is guys that are still little kids talking shit versus people who take jabs at each other because they know they can. I have a friend who makes fun of my Ford all the time because he's a GM guy. Doesn't mean we can't be friends? It's all in good fun. At the end of the day, a true car guy will respect another guy for trying and having appreciation. Don't take it so much to heart, it's just a car forum lol.

I think I had the roof off my C5 more than on, half the time i'd put it in the garage and just leave it off. One of things that I liked most about it was leaving work in the eveninng, taking the targa off and cruising home on the interstate. I would make a gs a summer dd. The fiero is my race car lol.

In so many ways I miss that SRT4. It was such a fun car that no one took seriously until they got owned. Taking off the wing was the best thing I could have done to sucker unsuspecting people into having a go. That car got me back and forth between pittsburgh and philly more times than I can count, toronto a few times and of course Alaska and back. Countless races with cam, flashlight drags, a few PRP missions, ghetto race fuel concoctions at various sunocos when you could still get 94 at the pump, broken input shafts, axles, fried clutches. Races won that should have been lost and vice versa. Dyno days and McDonalds hangouts...

It was the good, the bad and the ugly with that car. In some ways I do miss it but at the same time it was too frustrating to go fast with it (12.5@117 says everything you need to know about where the ET could/should have been). Loved having it but it was time to move on. No regrets with the current platform I'm rocking.

Not sure Cam can say the same now though :) wanna race? :)

Quoted for truth. I often look at Mach 1's, which did not retain any special value, but to get them anywhere as fast as the new 5.0's is price prohibitive. Terminator prices are just absurd.

I have a good buddy of mine that has a fully built SRT4 Neon, its actually the one im racing in that video posted above. In that video he was making 450 whp but he just did a new DCR stroker engine and bigger turbo, fuel system, etc..... He says the car will be close to 800 whp after its tuned. I hope to get him to come to some track outings this year.

Im 6'0 and about 255lbs and I fit in the car pretty good.....I do look like I wouldn't fit in that pic.....lol but that's definitely not the case, I fit pretty good. If your much bigger than me id say you may be uncomfortable in a Vette.
