Luckily we were planning on trading her car in and had it appraised by the dealer, then a few days later she got stuck in the driveway with no reverse gear. Has anyone put a custom body on a GTR chassis & drivetrain? Sure would be neat to see a Daytona Coupe or an old Challenger conversion. I'm sure it would cost a TON to do...but somewhere there has to be a running GTR with a trashed body just begging for this.

Advice that I have is to use a quality hose for boost reference or whatever you want to call it. I went with the same hard plastic lines that they use for semi brakes and couldn't be happier. I was just having to may issues with the rubber hoses and didn't want to hurt anything when one cracked or popped off.

They are in a way but it's damn tight in there. You have to pull the motor to do a turbo upgrade and it's a bitch to get out due to all of the driveline parts/carriage that have to come out first.
OP: You'll feel a nice difference in power once you get rid of the restrictive stock IC and piping. You're IAT's will thank you as well. Something I l learned with IC's is that you want the biggest baddest one out there the first time. Typically, as you upgrade you'll need to do it anyway. With stock turbos, and the way manufactures fab the new IC's, you don't have to worry about boost drop, etc. That and you want the least amount of bends, shortest route traveled, and least amount of pieces for IC piping. Because when one of those bitches pops off, you'll ****ing hate yourself because you have so much work in front of you to just get at it. I see all of those under panel screw and fasteners laying there on your cardboard..lol

I am going to guess you have been lucky and never owner or worked on a Dodge Stealth r/t tt or 3000GT VR4. Any work that needed done was major. Ever a spark plug change required the entire intake manifold to be removed and I think that was the easiest work. I loved that car but the amount of time it took to do anything on it was crazy.

Same for the VR38. Entire intake off for a plug change.
Then you need Ecutek or some software to do a bank balance.
My car is pretty bad, you have to take ~4 bolts off to get to the turbo, it takes at least 10 minutes on a good day.

I wanted the AAM Race Intercooler blem on eBay. Been talking with AAM for weeks about it.
I would of then needed to buy the entire piping kit separate as well.
Not it a cheap set up even with the discount on the cooler itself.
It it requires hacking up the front panels too. Something I'm not ready to do yet.
Almost pulled the trigger right before this set up I got offered to me for a lot less.
It is "street" Intercooler and is basically a ETS or BoostLogic core.
All made in the U.S. Sourced by SBD. For the price I paid if I have sell it one day so be it.

I know most of the Z guys swap our interior dome light lens out for the clear GT-R ones. stock ones are the hazed yellow-ish ones we get from factory. also they swap in LED bulbs instead of the factory as well.

Yes, it works with pretty much any logs that can be exported to csv. There's a fully functional trial on their website that puts a watermark on the output as you can see in my last video above if you want to play around with it. Me and a buddy went in on a license, he uses it for his motorcycle track day videos. You get keys to unlock on 3 different pcs with a license lol.
I had to go into daks CSV and multiply the manifold pressure column by 14.5037738 to get PSI since it was in bar... I tried scripting a gauge to do it in RaceRender but it was fighting me so I did it the easy way. I still had to create the boost gauge as there wasn't a preset for one.

Toyo R888 - 285/315 Combo - $1600

My PZeros are piles of shit compared to MPSSs, but I am not a huge fan of R888s either. The R888 likely has a grip level similar to that of a modern Max Performance summer (like an MPSS) but won't last as long.
You could probably squeeze ~8000 miles out of the R888s if you drive somewhat normally on the street. I liked the RA-1s that preceded the R888 much better. But given those two options honestly I would probably go with the R888s.
Forgestar is a great wheel for the price, was going to order a set of 18x11s before my buddy gave me a killer deal on the Jongbloeds I have.

I have no choice....
P-Zeros are all that fits the GTR in 285/335 street form.
They are both 28" in diameter front and rear.
The 888s are 285/315. I'm ok with getting only 8000s miles outta a set but they fit a tad odd.
They are slightly smaller in diameter overall. Front to rear is .2" difference.
The problem for me is the 315 looks a tad stretched on a 12" wheel.
I personally think the GTRs look great when they have some meat on the wheels.

If I got an 11" wheel for the rear I'd run the 888s in a second.

FWIW the R888's do seem to run pretty wide. I have 305's on my car and they seem as wide or wider than some other 315's that I've seen and even as wide as some 335's.

Sheeit.
I run the OEM wheels because the TE37's I want cost more than I paid for the car.
Now, the parts that are in the car... we try not to think about that.

Front wheels are complete.
I was just told the 12" rear blanks came in late.
They are being machined next week then off to powder coat....
Still time to find MPSS.
