2015 FLD Call outs [Archive] - Steel City Muscle Cars

Lets get the ball rolling with the call outs and keyboard races. LOL

I am out until the engine is back in the car.

However when its back up and running I want the following runs.

1. OST Mike and his turbo grand Cherokee (He was looking for me last year and we always have a blast)
2. That Red Coronet (He is the most evenly match car to mine. Be have been door to door on a few runs.)
3. gmkillr's brother's GTR

I'll call out Ron (Paxtonshelby) with his 66 when he gets it back. I think we'll be a good race when i get my N20 hooked back up this spring.

Hana - will do Kev-Bob! I do need to run a bigger fuel line first, but that shouldn't be too hard to do. The old 3/8" just isn't going to cut it. Oh - and do you have any drag tires on 15" 5x4.5 wheels I can borrow?

I just wanted to get the guys started then thought I better add that. Odds are the Cobra will be ready since the engine was dropped off last week. Just waiting on the list of the damage so I can figure things out.

The vert will be up for sale in the spring so I can fund a project.

Unfortunatley No. We'll both be doing 1/8 mile burn-outs when we race.

I'll race anyone who wants to. Last time I went to the FLD's Mush and Brian had to push me into the pits and I went home in a tow truck though, lol. Hopefully my bad luck doesn't continue at the FLDs

My brother went 1.55 sixty foot time on his all-seasons when his car was 100% bone stock so thats not a very enticing offer......lol

Id like to get in on some of this my junk should be ready to go. Would like to race anyone just for fun. Im desperatly gunna need some seat time. Been a few years out of the saddel and got pretty much a hole new combo sence ive made a pass.

Car has run 7.6@94 in the 1/8th and 11.7@122 in the 1/4, 1.85 60' so the short track is not my strong point for sure.

Sounds good john. Yea it should run pretty good. I havent made a pass in it sence it was bolt ons and a lil spray so it will def take some getting used to. Ill def be there just look for a black 94 turbo vert anyone thats wants to bs or run for fun come on over would def like to get a chance to meet some of u guys. I been out of the game for a while so I dont know really anyone when I head to the flds or track.

Hey glad to see you on here. We need more fast street cars at these events. I get tired of getting paired up with gutted race cars.

Has anyone seen the Early Performance blue dsm? Last time we raced his engine had a big mishap and I have not seen him since.

I run drag radials, but I've seen people run slicks in the street class. I don't think they care tbh.

Good idea, but not in my size (24.5"). I also checked on ET Streets, which is what I ran on the Mach 1. I'd rather not run a 26" if I don't have to. That's a big tire for my stock gear ratio.
I'll just stick with slicks and see you guys at PRP. :awsome:

I wonder how upset they'd be if I just so happened to accidentally hit the wheel squirters with the traction compound while doing my burnout. Do they frown on traction compounds? The rules seem to bend every which way depending on who the racer is.

They wouldn't know. I will say the hardest part is getting a spot at the line where some street tire car didnt pulled water out of the box.

This was at Green County last year. Had a little problem hooking up. Mine is the White one. Car ran 12.37@115 at PRP but I'm not bringing that one this year! By the way ran him 5 times and never lost! He was on the juice and mine was stock.
