LOL @ pic

Is that a focus wagon on fire? that pic makes me jealous. Right now its -17c. I've gotten soft since living in AK.

Not much goin on up here. As a way to try and get spring to come sooner I got my 275/45-19 pilot supersports mounted on my 19x10 rear, 19x9.5 front GT500 replica wheels. Now the 60cm of snow has to melt and I'll be ready to roll.

Also still on the fence between doing up a TT kit on my 13 or getting a 16 GT350. Its a touch decision as I'm still not sold on the '15+ styling.

Other than that, work is work, home is home. SSDD.

Sup with you? I still gotta get you the AR parts list I need for the next time I make a run for the border.

Nothing new here, all work and no play. That's a tough call on the car situation, either option is pretty cool. I bet the dealer ADM will be ludacris on the GT350 though. Let me know whenever you want some AR stuff :)

Caught the 1-0 victory over the leafs... absolutely delicious! :)

EDIT - I can catch philly games whenever they are playing a Canadian team on HNIC (Hockey Night In Canada)

If the GT350 qualifies for xplan there will be no markup :)

On the AR, im just waiting for tactical machining's AR10 lower to come back in stock. I'll probably want to do an AR15 style pistol due to Canada's dumb rule about magazines (10 rounds in a pistol, but 5 in a centrefire rifle... go figure...)

Nowadays, I own an American motorcycle and a Japanese car. Both tire sizes are in MM ???

I can't see the GT350 being included in the X-plan. The Bosses and GT500s haven't been included in the past. Sure would be nice though!

I'm doin' great. Overall life is good. The only major downsides for me are expensive gas (just went up to, after conversion to gallons and USD, $4.75 for 87), being kinda far to my GP (doctor), and only 5 opportunities to drag race in a season. But on the good side when I go to a test n tune I get as many runs as I feel like taking :)

I did the GT500 replica wheels from American Muscle 19x10 rear on clearance, 19x9.5 front. Michelin pilot super sports all around in 275/45-19. Can't wait for spring. For next steps I cant decide whether to keep my 13 and just be mild with it (frpp tune to keep warranty), accept that I'm going down the pay to play road and get the hellion twin turbo kit, or save for another year and hope a 16 GT350 is in my budget.

Passenger car tires 99% of the time are in metric, yes. Motorcycle tires mostly yes.

How you doin'? seems like you cant live up to your nick too much here anymore ;)

In Canada, the boss was on xplan. My dealership tried to get me into a 13 Boss but just didn't want to swing that kinda payment.

Seems like you're more of a drag racer... why are you leaning towards the GT350? I'd stick with your solid axle and build that bad boy.

I bant myself from the "Stang" site when I bought the Miata two years ago, but now that it's "Muscle Cars" I still don't feel too good about causing trouble. :haha:

you bought a miata? you must like trolling yourself ;)

Part of me feels like a drag racer, but the last 2.5km to my house is a windy twisty road with some cool negatives and sweet elevation changes. I love ripping through that section full out so the GT350 might be fun.

But I am leaning your way and I think Im getting caught up in the "ZOMG TEH IRS IS TEH BESTEST EVAR!!!1!one!1!1!11" hype.

A regular old '15 with GT Performance Package might do the trick for you... this car has been on the lot in Greensburg for a few months now... http://www.smailford.com/new/Ford/2015-Ford-Mustang-56af24950a0a00e01d9e001ec3b4de68.htm?searchDepth=7 :15

There's a ruby red one there, too with the same options. :goodidea:

^^^ that's not bad. A buddy of mine had a miata. I forget the year (99?) but it was some special anniversary edition that had a manual trans not offered in other years. He eventually sold it and his 08 M3 due to a new addition to the family and priorities having to change.

I was thinking about a trade to a 15 gt, but I'm leaning against it for two reasons. First, I'm not sure I'd get a fair trade for my 13 (even though it is mint) and second up here you cant touch a GT for less than 45k on the sticker including delivery (so Id guess xplan is around 41-42k) and that's for a stripper. To get equivalent features of the GT/CS i'd probably be close to 50k (or about 46-47 on xplan). The small performance and aesthetic differences aren't quite enough to justify restarting on payments- payments that would be higher- and possibly being upside down on trade. The GT350? Now that's worth it IMO.

All in all, I still can't get on board with the exterior styling of the 15. I see how its more "modern" especially when I come home from the dealership and look at my 13, but if you remove the '15 body style from the context I really like the 13 and IMO is the pinnacle of capturing the essence of the mustang from an exterior styling POV. And of course having owned an SRT I have an inner demon that wants to forcefeed mustang I have. I really would love to have something that cracks the 700hp barrier and buying into the new platform would delay that significantly. Ripping the backcountry roads with 700hp on tap would bring one hell of a smile to my face :)

Yeah, I had this pipe dream that I was going to get an AC Cobra (replica, of course). You can't get into anything decent for under 30K. Remember, I'm a bought, not built kind of guy. :cutie: Anyway, this thing popped up on local CL. I never considered a Miata. Never. I was thinking about S2000, but since they stopped production in 2009, those used prices went (still going) through the roof. Went and drove this stupid thing and like it. Made a ridiculous offer and the guy told me nicely to F OFF. Oh wells. A month later, he emails me and says he found something he wants and he'll take my offer. I guess I bought a Miata. This thing is stupid fun. No, it's no dragster, but I've never felt like it was SLOW, either. Plus, Wifey likes it and she doesn't even drive it. Getting old = sux.

700hp barrier
I hope you mean 700whp barrier, because 700 crank hp would be weak-sauce according to your walk-down-memory-lane thread. :sticktonge:

That was my impressions too, both about the miata when I drove my buddies and about getting old :)

I've never been on a (chassis) dyno that measures HP at the crank :)

Although I don't twitter (or facebook, or instagram, or any social media) I agree with the hashtag. Hence waiting for the '16's to get here before making a final decision. It's tough to wait when Hellion's TT kit keeps calling me
