Car has 25K and the front pads will need changed in the next 5K or so. I was thinking about upgrading to the Mach 1 / Bullitt kit. I think it's exactly the same as the Cobra brakes except they have a horsie on the caliper instead of "cobra". Anybody know what size my stock calipers are. The kit has 13". From the pics on this link, there ain't much room between the inside of the 17" Bullitt wheel and the caliper bracket. There's about 1" on mine, so I'm guessing stockers are 11" ???

What's a decent price? This site has it on sale at $449. Should I go with a kit like this or just buy slotted/drilled stockers from Ford($150) and put some green stuff pads($90) on there.

The 13" brakes are nice as I had them on my car, I took them off and put 11" GT brakes on so I can run the skinnies. Did'nt notice to much of a differance in stopping power.

You not going to notice much of a brake performance gain from swapping over since 99-04GT's come with PBR duel piston calipers from factory, just they are smaller rotors than cobra's. I installed the Bullitt 13" on the front of my 00GT and the real gain I noticed was from better pads and braided stainless steel brake lines. I also installed the ford slotted or crossdrilled rotors. I wasn't very happy with them. The are uncoated and rusted up and looked crappy after a short time. The brakes do fill up 17" wheels very nice. Here's a pic my 13" Mach 1 front brakes that are on my 91LX with 96 GT wheels.
