Theres pain in the eyes being so blinded by the oval......both ford and chevy have their greats and their worsts
Best ford requires a chevy trans to get down track
Best chevy requires a Dana rear to get down track
i played the Ford rear game in the past in F-buckets & have determined that a 9inch is garbage. I had 2 reputable places set up centers for me & I made junk of them real quick. Dana 60, 8.8 Ford, GM 12 bolt & 8.5 ten bolt are the only ones worth messing with in my eyes. However, you got a freaking awesome build going on & hopefully you achieve your goals with it.

Will disagree with you, any rear that uses the housing for pinion will distort and eventually fail...my 14bolt even with a girdle you can tell is flexing.
The 9" design when setup correctly imho strongest there is but again it comes down to setup with correct parts used

Thank you very much, builds like this cant be paid for as no body can afford to pay for amount of time and detail into it.
But when you do it yourself you can put all time into as you wish and address every single part of the build
Im very lucky to have my wife that enjoys projects and shares passion of being creative..I gave her full reign on my tonneau cover and as you see it it came out well.
By next fall the wife and I are gonna be starting on our lightning project which will be another frame off, color change build.....It will consist of the 5.4 i had built with FGT heads and will be twin turbo
Couple years ago wife and I tackled our full wrangler build...was a frame off, v8 swap, color change build..
I sold off parts of this truck years ago to fund some of that build....So for those that wondered why this truck was taken off road...it was to allow her jeep to be built
With said being able to tackled these builds along side of her is a blessing

For 2016 main goals will be shake bugs out and go 8.9s 9.0s on low boost
When i can get a trans to hold power id like 8.2-8.3 around 170 with around 25-28 psi
At that point ill weigh options and see if worth pushing 30-35psi
