Some of you have followed my truck over the yrs. From its first turbo setup in 08 to its twins in 2010 and now for 2014 the truck is going back to an auto. I had enough of the issues that are related to the manual and power setup for me the change and go back to an auto. The last issue was my firewall split from the clutch master, with all the pressure always applied from the pedal.
so for this revision of the truck i got rid of alot of un needed weight. Weight form the skirts, weight from the front bumper, system and etc
i then wanted a change in interior, so went with SEM landau black interior dye and had my panels dyed black. Also went ahead and had my headliner redone in black suede

at this point i felt it was time to stiffen up the chassis some by doing a roll bar. I went ahead and did a 8 point chromo
with with 3/16 polycarbonate for the rear glass
wanted removable door bars as this is a street truck and not a full race truck. the wife wanted the door bars to be removable for when she drives the truck

Spent tonight modifying the stock seat brackets to work with the corbeaus. Nice thing about this is can still use the side trim pieces to cover up seat frame.
You can also see how well the bar is tucked up against the door

well My heads showed up and I went a different direction, instead of the Mast 275s I now have the Mast 295s
the mast 295s have a 2.25 intake valve
ive measured the ports and my exhaust port measures 1 13/16 x 1 3/4
my intake port measures 1.260 x 3.250
if you look at the pics my holley Hi ram is much smaller and will need to be ported
I measured that as well and it comes out to .95 x 3.1

i had my drop spindles coated, my trans pan, my trans dust cover, DTR 4l80e crossmember and my solid motor stands
decided to use drop spindles and put a tall drag spring in place, this way i get all the spring travel i possibly can run and still have a lower ride height

Ford GT heads with upgraded valve springs
Custom diamond pistons
Oliver billet I beam rods
Cobra jet crankshaft
.020 over bore
Boss 302 intake
6Layer cometic gaskets

Motor was built for my lightning and target power is 1200-1300 with that motor
As for rental....I don't have anything ready, my procharged daily needs the gears done in the front prior to me making passes

My new chromoly front support
The lower part weighs in at 8.5lbs
I still have to make tabs to secure lower part of bumper cover and couple outriggers for the rad support
If you're thinking what all the stock weighed in at...it was around 60lbs not counting the bumper
O btw the long bolt with spacers arent permanent, used what i had till i can go to hardware store

Man the truck looks good. Like some people have said, your work is top notch but your attitude drives people away. If you could curb that you would have a hand full of trucks like this sitting in your garage. I am not being a dick, just giving you something to think about and learn from some of the shops you visit.

Now that we are having a civil chat, I do have a question about your builds and turbo choice. Do you find that the higher ci of the LS builds requires the twin 76mm turbos? Coming from the modular side of things and less ci it cause hellish turbo lag. I think the biggest I would go on a built mod engine is twin 67s or a single 88mm. Both options would take us to some crazy power figures on the proper fuel.

something you need to consider and its easily over looked, ppl look at compressor size when you need to be looking at turbine size....You can only flow as much as the turbine can flow so the compressor size isnt as important as many think
take these examples, that 2010 camaro i built it has 7665s, thats a 76 compressor paired with a 65mm turbine... the 65mm turbine will never max the compressor out.. This combo flows almost the same as the 6265s i had originally on the car but with the cost of them its why they were used
now when you have a even pair like my 7675 the turbine speed is matched with compressor speed so they max out together
now you have outlaw 76s which some of them have 100mm turbine wheels, these are typically 1/8 mile turbos, they want max boost now and not be choked up by turbine
as for Mod motors, there was a lightning with a similar motor as I have for my lightning that ran similar turbos as my 427...that truck ran 7s
problem is with say the smaller motors like your 4.6 is they just dont have the flow to support a large turbine unless they spin serious RPMS, but for a combo like that you need gearing, compression, huge stall to get off the bottom and use full topend
like the lightning i did with the billet 8284 with having the turbine slightly larger then compressor its a good match for a 5.4
with todays turbos the old way of thinking is basically thrown out the window since the modern turbos make up for such "lag" as some would say.

Actually these specific ones are around 1300 each but yea
Truck has a lot of coin in it and is well over built for the first goals ....future plans are 4link with Fab 9" possibly add onto cage to make it legal for faster times
As for power take a guess....225lb injectors, 427 9.68cr, 6 bolt heads along with 1/2" stud upgrade, billet rods, heads flow 390 at 700lift, current cam is 646/664 lift

What Rustoleum product did you use? I'm going to be cleaning and painting the underside of the Toronado in the near future. How does the stuff you used compare to, say, Eastwood's Chassis Black?
George C

Rustoleum industrial
I used regular rustoleum on my jeeps frame and holding for last 2 yrs it's been built
With the amount of driving this truck will see it should last forever but on a true driver I'd look into other products
Will say with a dap method vs strokes it gave a thick level coat

Well got most of my stuff back from powdercoaters
i decided to go back to stock spindles to help gain me some ride height back
went ahead and picked up a Qa1 bumpsteer kit
youll also see my dual caliper brackets
going to give belltech leafs a try with my caltracs
and also you see the 14 bolt all powdercoated
yes yes i have alot into powdercoating since this build started

I tossed on stock spindles to get my ride height back in order, decided to weigh the belltech vs stock and i was shocked. The belltech lowering spindle weighs in at 22lbs and the stocker weighs in at 15lbs

tossed on my QA1 bumpsteer kit, this kit is for a 2005+ mustang. It required very minimal reaming of the spindle
http://i948.photobucket.com/albums/ad325/Quik611/Project%20cocaine/bumpsteer2_zpslcecwckm.jpg (http://s948.photobucket.com/user/Quik611/media/Project%20cocaine/bumpsteer2_zpslcecwckm.jpg.html)

also in those 2 pics you can see the AFCO shocks, if you look at top of shock youll see the rebound adjuster, and if you look under the control arm youll see the compression adjuster
with going back to stock spindle it raised the truck up 2" in front. I know have 2.25" fender height difference between front and rear

and truck will hit the bump stops before it will the bed will hit the tires
and went ahead and painted the rear calipers

Now with getting the diff cover back from the powdercoaters I was able to go ahead and put the rear back together for good. Rear has a tru-trac and now 342 gears, would like a steeper gear but only have choices of 342 or 373 and i needed around a 360 gear. the 373 would be too much for the mph goals

What's your take on an oil cooler for n/a street motors? My 387w is 11:1 CR, all iron block and heads and in a tight ranger engine bay. Water temps do well (165) when moving but creep to 200 in traffic and occasionally higher when it's humid. To be honest, I've never idled it for extended periods in high heat/high humidity traffic to see how high it would go.

i picked up GM factory black coated brake lines hoping i could make them work with all the changes Ive made to the truck. My biggest fear was placement of master cylinder along with the driverside downpipe. As you can see the factory lines worked out very well for the wilwood master and clears the downpipe just fine

Without having the ebrake mechanism anymore it left me a open area with 3 studs, I went ahead and made good use of this by making a plate to mount the leash fuse/relay panel to...this location also gives me good access incase i need to change a fuse

with the whole theme of wires tucked and easier to work on, I chose to mount the pcm, injector driver and the 58x box inside the console
http://i948.photobucket.com/albums/ad325/Quik611/Project%20cocaine/pcm%20console_zpsykmewdms.jpg (http://s948.photobucket.com/user/Quik611/media/Project%20cocaine/pcm%20console_zpsykmewdms.jpg.html)
the pcm wires will exit slightly in front of the pcm and into the engine by from behind the motor for a nice clean appearance

My kid plays tournament baseball, basketball, and now football so we spend alot of time with that. Been busy working on other peoples stuff, so I haven't touched my GTO or Truck other than routine maint. My 4x4 'poopy' truck gets more love, because it needs it.

next project is im tackling the main harness for the truck. Since I dont need much of the original harness and looking to cut weight where ever I can, Ive been going thru eliminating things...First thing I ditched was the BCM

a race truck needs what a race truck needs, since my HVAC system is bare bones these days and only consists of Defrost I decided to go ahead and ditch the HVAC panel and just use a single on/off switch to use as Defrost with the blower on high.. For the amount of time Ill actually need the defroster this will work out well
I chose to place the panel where the HVAC controls were as its the exact size and easy access {if youre wondering where the 1 switch is, Moroso forgot to package it}
also if you look closely youll see where my map sensor is now mounted

since I ditched the BCM Ive been working on rewiring this entire truck to make it more simplified. I went thru the entire frontend harness and eliminated anything I didnt need any more then wrapped it all with Teraflex

also with no BCM I didnt have use for the DRL so I ditched that socket and wired in a another parking/turn signal....By doing this my lights are now like that of a GMT400

Havent had much to update since completely rewiring a vehicle takes some time, I have around 6 weeks into this job. Ive lost around 30lbs or so from the wiring not used and the stock fuse/relay panels.
I was able to use the Leash to control everything I needed: Radio, power mirrors, power locks, power windows, Ignition, outside temp/compass mirror, hazards, turn signals, low beams, high beams, brake lights, reverse lights, parking lights, horn and of course the motor
heres a few pics no street truck is complete without a double din radio and working mirror

heres the leash panel majority wired just now need to add the extras, then wrap the wires with teraflex
http://i948.photobucket.com/albums/ad325/Quik611/Project%20cocaine/least%20panel%20wired_zps5npszca0.jpg (http://s948.photobucket.com/user/Quik611/media/Project%20cocaine/least%20panel%20wired_zps5npszca0.jpg.html)
i cut apart the stock HVAC panel and attached the switch panel to the bezel of the stock panel. This allows the new panel to bolt in place
