I have an 88 lx convertible with 5.0 5 speed,cam,70mm maf 65mm throttle body, pulleys, ram air, 2:73 posi rear, 225 60 15 tires, i wanted to put 3:73s in, but as it is right now accelerating in 1st and 2nd is useless cause it will not grip what reccomendations do you think i should do first? im on a budget so would better shocks or springs help? or should i just get aftermarket contron arms, i bought a set of 250 lb springs for the back off ebay, but they made the back squat too much, if so anybody have control arms for sale?

maybe you should get wider tires. Atleast start with that. Are you talking about not hooking at the track or on the street?

put those 10 holes in teh classified for sale section.. I think the widest you can go on those is 235 it will help alil but not alot. IMO i would grab a set of wider wheels for the back and start out there. My buddy has a set of ponys that he grips well with and he runs a 12.9 at the track adn on the street he hooks up pretty good adn he runs a 235
