Looking for some cheap mustang wheels to put on my Lincoln Aviator. My stock wheels are peeling inside and out and just don't want to hold air for more than a few days. Need to be 17" to fit my current tires. Let me know what you have.
Here's a pic of it wearing my stock hellcat wheels just for fun. Going to run these until I find mustang wheels. I think they look pretty cool, but I need these back on the hellcat for the winter

I hear ya - the chrome on the Aviator wheels sucks. A while back Dan Ross had the wheels from his Aviator ( remember that’s where the Quadrabird came from ). Shoot him a PM.

Looks good Ray!
I was trying to find an AWD aviator under 100k miles for 2-3 weeks and kept coming up empty.
Settled on a 3v 4.6 exploder instead....flew down to Charlotte on Thursday and drove it home....rust free factory paint undercarriage FTW.
I promptly started looking for FR500's for it.....need to check backspacing to be sure it doesn't look like a mexican SUV.

I know a guy who did a timing chain job on a 3-v....he said it was a real bitch...

Nice! I've seen guys put mustang supercharger kits on those :goodidea:
For reference, here's my aviator with some spare 03 cobra wheels I had laying around. Looks a little silly with low profile drag radials, but you get the idea. I would imagine the suspension setup would be similar on an explorer. This is the route I'd like to take if I can find two more 03 cobra wheels. I think I'll likely end up getting some bullet wheels though.

I hear you on that.
My fingers are crossed. :)
I would have preferred a dohc deal without known issues.

I told my wife a set of cams are all that it needs for inspection.

I have a like new set of staggered 17" FR500's in gunmetal/charcoal. If you're interested shoot me a PM and I can get you some pictures.

Being AWD the Aviators are very sensitive to wheel & tire circumference. A staggered set would look killer but total circumference would have to be dead on or the transfer case would tear itself apart.

I have a set of these: The gray photo is just so I can show them since the only one I have of them on my car doesn't show much, Let me know if you are interested. The tires are the OEM Pirellis about 5000 mile on them.

OP gets first dibs, obviously -- but curious what size tires and how old are they? I've been looking out for a set of these for my SVO...

These are the OEM tires and wheels from 2007. I know they are 17" rims I don't have any idea what the tire size is off hand. I use them to store the car in the winter. and store them in the basement in the summer when the car is out. if you want to discuss my number is 724-510-8084 call or txt
