I want to have the harmonic balancer replaced on my 5.0 Cobra with 63Kmi. Lots of bad stories about these original ones coming apart. Prices and choices are all over the map. It's purely a street car that's bone stock at the moment, but soon to add 50hp. I want a good one. What's good choice, here's a couple-

Update: Last week I finally had someone replace the OEM balancer with the PowerBond purchased a few months ago. All the difference in the world! SO MUCH smoother from 3K RPM and up, see photos for the condition. I was aware these are known to go south and I was noticing some runout in the crank pulley. Better safe than sorry. I swear I have this "pedal feel" that it may be somewhat heavier than the original but maybe just the effect of better balance.. Wish I would have weighed the PB first and compared but I didn't.
And PS- Still no mods done to the car.

Had the car out today, just can't get over the difference for the better. Had this congested feel before as engine speed increased, one of the reasons I always wanted to get out of 1st gear as quickly as I could. . So not congested, just out of balance. Lesson learned.
