I'll be there Saturday. Who cares if there isn't a TNT. It is $20 to enter trophy class which is all rookies, and you are guaranteed 3 runs or more. Plus they are having the door jamz which are some 6 sec cars in the 1/4 at over 200 mph.

Rookie here < - me ;)

Well, gates open at 9:00 for Jr dragsters (weedeaters), time trials start at 1:00 for mod cars, followed by top, bike, more Jr's, then street, then finally trophy. I usually get there sometime around 1:00 to get the car flipped over, and run at 2:00-2:30 ish, then again at 4:00-5:00 for second time trial. Eliminations start at 5:00 with the same sequence, so its usually 6-6:30 for the first round of trophy. I went to the semi's last week and was home at 9:00.

If you guys havent run on a regular race day, the track is better prepped than TnT nights, and like was said, you get 2 time trials and first round anyway, if you are good / lucky you can get a few more. I got 6 passes Saturday for $20.00

It's not an all day event. Like Martin said get there around 1:00 and you can be done as early as 6:00 with 3 runs thats actually less time than a TNT with better track prep and the possibilty of more runs. You might like bracket racing. I like the competition and winning some cash TNT's bore me.

Almost all the cars in trophy are guys just like you that drove their car there with street tires and just want to have some fun. It not something serious you'll fit right in.

im there....that still gives me time in the am to hang the signs for the reception and clean the place before i leave.

will anyone have like a truck or tent that i could keep my tools and shiit in. instead of leaving in the stang during the 1/4 mile. lol

also anyone wanna bump my timing for me when i get there?

I remember King of Street last year. An old man with a honda CRV went almost all the way and lost due to a red light.

I always have a tent and a pile of crap emptied from the car (tools, street tires, start pack / compressor, cooler, chairs, wife ;) ) There are a few of us that grab an area and have some fun together ;)

I will have my timing light there too. Bring whatever tool you need to get to the hold down on a V8, I have no idea, and I really only carry the tools for my 2.3 :D

I also have a spot where I keep the tools and a tent. If you pit with Martin I will stop by to see if you need a hand with anything. Me, Ares, real_jeff, and cobraII all pit together. You and Martin are also welcome but we pit down the track some.

Just remember that when you pull up to the gate to pay that you want trophy not street class. Street class is $30 and the are more experienced racers. You can do either one but trophy would probably be better.

Like Balaska said, this will be a good Saturday with the Door Jamz show. Trophy is a good class, he, Ares, and I all started there before moving up. We're all willing to help out as much as we can. Competition is fun. Ares handed me my azz last Saturday on a holeshot in Round 2, clipping me by .027 at the stripe. If you want to get some more in depth stuff on bracket racing, check out www.staginglight.com (http://www.staginglight.com)
Good stuff on there. There are some cool events coming up at the track on Saturdays, so check out the PRP site. I write the e-newsletter, so you can sign up on the PRP site for that, and get an email with the results and upcoming events.
