different speedo cable

is there a difference in the speedo cable from auto to 5 speed?

here is what i got. a pic of both ends of cable...im actually pissed...i didnt know id have to wire anything down there. :balls1: my own fault...ive had this since february and just now opened the package.

and also a pic of the speedo gear on it now....and the purple one for 3.73 i got to go on....the purple is much longer. why?

also before i break something...how do you unattache the part going into the gauge cluster?

I think there is a tab you push in and pull cable off but been awhile since i did one.

ahhh..well if it rains again...i might just wait and do cable another day...main priority is getting the lights fixed.

id like to do it all tonight...weather permitting....i noticed there is a bracket about 1/2 way on the cable....does that mount to the firewall somewhere or what?
