Hey guys! I just picked up a sonic blue 03 Cobra last week and my god I should have moved over from the GM camp long ago. The car has 9k on it and has a ported eaton, 2.93 pulley set, accufab TB and inlet, headers and x pipe and a few other little things. The thing moves!!

A few days after getting the car I rotated the tires to find a nice coating of "smurf poop" on the inside of my wheel. I have been looking all over the net, I even called the dealership (I knew not to but I wanted a laugh) and for the life of me I can't find an outer CV replacement boot anywhere. Can anyone get them?? If not can anyone direct me to a new axle that is cheaper than the $355 the dealership wants? They are F'n nuts!

You would be correct. He also had a Yellow one that I went for a ride in but the blue one seemed to be what I was looking for and is a bit faster than the stock one. I did make one improvment since I got it... and did the vac line swap. She runs a little better now. :goodidea:

I know cause I looked at that car and almost bought it... You might be the guy that he was telling me about when I was first thinking about picking it up. I was told I better hurry up because he had other people looking. lol

I've had mine since the middle of Feb. The reason I didn't buy that one was because I wanted to do my own mods. But that thing is sweet also.

I got it because it was built. lol Long story short...I was dropping a stroked LS6 into a mint thirdgen camaro and got screwed big time. My engine let go on the engine dyno!! I was fed up with working on the car and not driving it after 4 years and I saw COBRA. Now after having this to play with I am going to say hell with the IROC project and start selling parts.

Burntire, I gathered that from reading your other posts and thank you for saving me from the pain. I will give DDS a call and see if they have boots that fit the stockers and let everyone know. I still cant believe how much trouble it has been finding one.

You could try a universal fit. They make 2 sizes.

I had some luck! DSS had some used ones that they sold me. I picked up a spare inner and outer plus the one I needed. :woot1:
