Ok, im not really sure what my problem is, but there is definetly one, lol

Anyways, when i start my car it seems to idle ok for awhile but then slowly decreases, and acts like its going to shut off, then it will jump back up, then go back down, then finally shut off and keep shutting off, but as long as your driving it, your fine, but as soon as you stop at a stoplight or stop sign for a little while it will shut off,

im not really sure what it could be, i thought with underdrive pulleys that maybe they were draining the battery so i replaced the battery and alternator (my dads fox had this problem) but still no use, and it still wants to shut off.. i went to get tires put on it today, and the guys at wal-mart http://www.tcstangs.com/forum/images/smilies/lol.gif couldnt get it to stay running either, i felt like such an idiothttp://www.tcstangs.com/forum/images/smilies/nonono2.gif

So anybody have any suggestions on what i could do/try to get this problem fixed?http://www.tcstangs.com/forum/images/smilies/confused.gif

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and sorry no pics, the digital camera is at my grandparents.

Sounds like your IAC motor isnt working like it should. You can try cleaning it but 9/10 times it needs to be replaced. "Borrow" one from a friends GT and bolt it on, see if your problem goes away. :awsome:

Also, is there any other way i could test to see if my IAC motor is working correctly without buying a new one?

The IAC would be the little motor that is bolted to your Throttle body. It has a 2 wire plug on the end of it. Pull it off, clean it, and see what happens. No real way to test those shy of using a "test piece" a.k.a. another IAC.

its most likely either the IAC or a vaccum line that came off... if your battery drained while the car was running, i dont think it would make the car shut off...just clean your IAC and check vaccum lines
