Thanks Ed. LOL.
The pic actually doesn't do it justice. That "knob" was like and inch and half high off my leg. It was the craziest spot swelling I've ever seen.

I hate to point this out but maybe you should change your sport to hockey if you want to use your body to stop fast moving projectiles like that. lol
Oh and "softballs" are not soft!

No softball is an oxymoron. We were also using the hardest ball you can buy. It is actually harder than a baseball. The bat that it came off of will hit a "soft" ball in the range of 120-140mph(they rate sb bats by batted ball speed)...so I would say it was going at least that fast.

ouch! That sucks. I went a batting cage once that said it was soft, ball hit my pinky finger, within two minutes my finger was bigger than my big toe! Those balls hurt!
