when the radio is plugged in, the door open light is on, but once the fuse on the radio is pulled, the light goes on. If the radio stays plugged in it drains the battery. What could this be? Its on a eagle talon.

Is it a stock radio? I think the stock radio has an odd grounding wire????

now when she hits the brakes the cd player skips.. could this be the grounding wire?

sounds like a ground, could be a wire shorting out to metal... pull radio out trace the wires as far back as you can to see if there are any split/open wires

is this radio wired into the factory plug??

Thats what i am going to do tonight rob.. I dont know if it is or not. She got it put in by a stereo shop so who knows.

I agree bud. Something is touching something. Did you try calling the stereo shop that put it in???
