this sucks some thing is tinking around inside my driver side 40 series flowmaster-rust? Its driving me nuts anyone know how to get rid of it short of removing the mufflers and tailpipes. I took the H pipe down and could'nt get at it , rev'ed it , beat on it - Im at a loss and dont have alot of time to pull it all down and it is welded at that but it looks like I have to pull it I just dont want to if I dont have to. it sounds like something inside the muffler desinagrated and broke of and is pinging around inside.HELP thanks

typical flowmaster....i like them but when they go they go. i had a set on my 00 stang and it was doing that i cut them off and dumped a ton of rust and debris out of them.

thats what I figured it is, they do sound strange lately but was hoping for the best. I wonder if nitrous burned them up, oh well to fetch the sawzall and hacking I go.

well I figured it out the tinking was a broken spot weld on one of the front baffles is the muffler itself. I found where it was rattling the most smacked the discolorized mark on the muffler case from the weld with a five pound hammer and bent the case in a bit trapping the loose piece so it cant viberate and wala tinking is gone. Jared your right the shit that came out of this thing was unreal Im glad it did'nt get sucked back into the head."FLOWMASTER- MUFFLERS THAT SOUND GREAT UNTIL THEY DONT"
