Are there any differences between the 87-93 5.0 mass air unit and a 94/95 mass air unit

The 89-93 unit is 55mm and the 94/95 is 70mm. Both should be calibrated for 19lb injectors.

i mean if i bought an aftermarket one.. one should work for the other correct?

Yeah, but there are varying opinions on the effectiveness of this mod. I'm currently running a 73mm C&L and although everything seems ok my car always wants to stall when I initially start it up. After that it runs fine. However, I don't have a wideband or any datalogging capability so 'runs fine' is kinda subjective.
