Does the plastic come off of the lens or do I need to mask?

when i was going to do mine i was told you had to mask off

Not sure about the factory lights but on my smoked aftermarkets the bezel comes off theres a couple bolts on the bottom and the top clips on.

nope, you gotta tape them off. i did it once before i got rid of them for the 96-98s
