Becuase it doesn't have to flow nearly as much air mass as a high hp v8.

No such thing as too big with an intercooler ;) Mine is pretty big for a little 4 cylinder .....

No there isn't...but the cooling demands for a 300hp intercooler (lou's) is much less than one for 1000hp (ed's)...
But I agree...the bigger the better....:yes:
