rear rims on a fox

what the widest rims you can put on a 91 gt? I have 8" but was gonna put 9" or 10?10.5 if they would fit. I'm guessing a 275 tire? also either 17" or maybe 18". i need to sell all my cars and walk everywhere.

This is mixed here. A 10.5 will go on with a sledge hammer helping it out. You have to clearance the inner. The lips MUST be rolled though. Quad shocks must go. So now you have to get upper and lower control arms. Good shocks in the rear to prevent squating and rubbing. I have seen it done and it looks fanfrickintastic!!!!!!!! Call American muscle. Formerly Mustang Tuning. They have an ad in every 5.0 mag. They have a pretty good staff and will help you out a good bit. Their prices are second to none too. Hope this helps.

quad shocks are gone and control arms arent stock, not sure how much you can roll the fenders on a gt with the ground effects? can do the tops if that is the only clearance issue.

You are half way there. Roll the tops and you are set.:goodidea: Just a tad bit of hammer work on the inner and you should not have any problems.:thmbsup: I tell ya what, I have seen two black GT's with the 10.5 FR500's, it looks sick!!!!!!!!!!!

i have 2 fr500 17x9 i could get to u for a deal and y could just buy a back set of 17 by 10.5

I have a set of black bullets 17x8, but for some reason ,im guessing the front lincoln rotors the fronts stick out even thought they are the same offset. so im looking at 9 or 10/10.5 rears to make it look better. or maybe just get a better offset front if available.
