I was reading some website and they had a long last list about getting your car p.a plates. They said you need p.a auto insurance, you vin number coppied (said to take a peice of paper and trace the vin) if you vin wasnt rased you had to take it in to a shop to get it checked out. Is that all true? Also it said in butler county you did need to get a smog check! any info would be great!

Yes, you will have 10 days once registering it in PA to get it inspected. The VIN number can be verified at the notary service you are doing the registration at. Obviously, you will have to have the car there as well of show proof of insurance at that time. I'm sure you can find everything you need to know here:

Yeah i am getting that feeling, they even charge you for your DL? Thats crazy also it say you have to get a new one every 4 years!! WTF? Out here in az you get you DL and you dont have to renuew it untill your 65 years old
