Really not much to brag about but it's still a good feeling, first was a newer GTO with a loud exhaust, sounded pretty good. Went from about a 20mph roll, I let him get the jump and then I blew by him real quick, put about 4-5 cars on him then I let off, he would'nt come up beside me again for another try. Second was a new Rousch mustang I beleive(got excited thought it was a GT500), went from a 70mph roll, again I let him jump then just blew past him like he was standing still, he did come up and try again, the results were the same.

The car was all over the road, you try planting 670rwhp on the street, and btw ask him what happened when I was about ready to blow by him like he was standing still, I'll answer for you, there was a car in my way. I would of loved to have raced him from a 50-60mph roll cause it would'nt have even been close. You come on here and ask a stupid question when you already know the answer:tool:

i heard one side of story and was curious about the other side. since there is always anothre side of story.. now my quesiton is this as you just brought this up.... you stated to go from a 50/60 roll....well a drag race is from a dig isnt it? from what i heard he was about 3 cars in front of you till about 1/4 mark then you passed him like he was standing still. this is what i heard. im faimilar with what that GN ran cause i had encounterd him in the past

so not being a tool asking a question if i cant ask a simple question then go **** off. again i asked a question....since im still debating on the whole less gear isbetter for a boosted application since i currenty have 4.88s and was thinking of going less

I don't know about that. The people that I am refering to are super nice guys. I can't see them ticking anyone one off. do you remeber the last post you made about blowing your engine but it ended up being locked because it got so personal? There were people from pittspeed that became memebers on here just to bust your chops. To me, that seems like going out of one's way just to aggitate someone. And don't say it was jokes, there were some very personal jabs. That means you ticked them off at pittspeed as well. once again, that is your track record.

That's just funny cause when I was talking to him he brought up your name that you and him were good freinds, thats the reason for the reply I left. I figured you no the answer and wanted to stir up the pot. We probably barely hit the 1/8 mile cause I just was in third at about 4500-5000 rpm, he knew I was coming around him but unfortunately due to the car in my lane could'nt do it. That was also the first time I ran the car hard from a dig so I wanted to see how it would do and it was just as I expected with that kind of power on the street. Now the boost is turned downed and it is hooking much better the results would be much differant I'm sure.

alright, good to hear your side....dude why did you sell it? was it an offer you couldnt refuse? man you spent all that money to have whta you wanted only to ditch it? thta sucks but if your happy all power to ya

yea lower power might work better down low, as for the gearing do ya think it needed it? or was it more of a driver error for thta race? cause from what i gatherd the TT Trans am on here is a slight dog up till 1/8 mile with its 308 gears

09-25-2007, 07:33 AM
slight dog? haha, where did you gather that?? the car's tune didnt let it do anything but spit and sputter until the thing got into boost... and if you hit it in first, it was by no means a dog, even with the pure shit tune

It was more of a traction issue from a dig, car had all stock susspession, it just did'nt hook when it came into boost. It has 3:27 gears in it which are probably perfect for the street with the turbos. This car spools quick and it's no dog down low, that's one of the reasons for constantly breaking the tires. I sold it to Terry cause of financial reasons, he would of been the only one I would have sold it to, if he did'nt want it I would have kept it. I will be getting his 96gt and have some nice plans for it down the road.

I beleive these were down from about a 60mph roll to about 130, and Terry just kept pulling him the whole run, the car is very fast, that says something when you can beat two R1's even from a roll.

Well he had the fuel lines custom pressed and that took the shop that did it a couple days each time i guess... Plus, he's only able to work on it the days that they are actually in the shop (he teaches at wyotech and isn't in the shop on a daily basis).... Plus, to add to all this, last week was the "end of the cycle" there or something to that effect, so he didnt get any time in the shop last week and isnt gonna get any time in the shop this week b/c its the beginning of the new cycle... so its basically sat for the last two weeks... no big deal really... i know i'm at the mercy of the wyotech schedule right now, so theres nothing i can do about it... He tells me he's going to attempt to get some work done on it this weekend ... However, the fuel system isnt the only problem... apparently the small leak on the passenger header is now a large leak, and he wants to get that fixed before we do any more tuning...

well, everything from the tank to the y-block was fixed... including new lines, competely re-wired the harness, opened up the basket and put the pump filters on.... But when that was all done and in the car (walbro took over a week to get the filters to him and he had them express shipped) the car was still loosing pressure... so the line after the y-block and all those fittings need to be replaced as well and the FPR needs to be verified that its working correctly... those are teh only two things left... Like i said tho, the exhaust leak was found when he test drove it, so until that is torn apart and fixed, she's still in blairsville... he's doing everythign he possibly can with the time he is given in the shop

so it wasnt the pumps? so you spent more money on parts that werent causing you the issue? so after all thsi drama on the net it could possibly a bad regulator? who would of thought

so it wasnt the pumps? so you spent more money on parts that werent causing you the issue? so after all thsi drama on the net it could possibly a bad regulator? who would of thought

Actually, no it wasn't the pumps, but they werent replaced... he checked them to be sure that they were working/flowing correctly and they were.... the only money i spent was to have the lines press-fit, since it was obvious that they were built incorrectly... the work/labor that's being done is being done for free, as he's using it almost as a class instructional

and he told me that rarely if ever do FPR's go bad, so he highly doubts thats it... but i guess we'll see whenever he gets around to testing it

you sound like you're trying to doubt who is working on the stuff... :rotflol:

umm.... ok, that's a real dickhead comment.....

not my fault its not ready to step up to the plate.. its the guy who built it... should have never been built incorrectly in the first place

no extra money other than exactly what is needed will be spent... .he's being sure to test everything before he replaces anything... like i said, the pumps were not replaced... but it was apparent that the lines needed replaced nonetheless... so its coming... slowly, but surely

Second was a new Rousch mustang I beleive(got excited thought it was a GT500), went from a 70mph roll, again I let him jump then just blew past him like he was standing still, he did come up and try again, the results were the same.

yeah, id start racing from a 70 mph roll but my car tops out somewhere around there....
