Subject to parent's night at my daughter's school being this friday night, I will probably go, but won't get there until a little before 7:00pm. Are Wed nights generally not super jammed?

Nice. What does it run these days? If its the white one I ran a couple years ago in my lifted ranger,(I ran a 17.1 to his 10 something) the thing is bad ass.

I might have to come out and watch, havent been there in a while.

Ranger results

10.276 @ 135 (2nd and 3rd shifts only)
10.258 @ 135 (2nd and 3rd shifts only
9.957 @ 136 (traction issues due to car in before me leaking antifreeze)

The 2nd and 3rd shifts where due to driver error of having my hand on the trans bake which is on the shifter handle and launching so hard pulling it into 2nd:biglaugh:

good time anyways!

You need to get some drag radials or something. Maybe a spare set of wheels with some sticky Mickeys

I saw your traction issues, looked like you were able to start easing into it after the first few runs. Sticky tires FTW.

yea that ranger was sick.....it was a bad night bud i beat a camaro because he redlighted and my buddy just bought this integra gsr two days ago, and he was talkin some shit, so i lined up with him, this was my 16.7 run because i spun, and he put like 4 cars on me outta the hole. But its an integra so, no worries, as soon as i hooked i started to catch him, and when i was beside him he looked over and i waved as i passed him and ended up beating him....was pretty funny he ran like a 16.9 or something.:biglaugh:

ok doing some research on the internet I have found out that big hp cars and Drag radials have a BIG problem with tire shake. So bad infact there has been several people with big 5/8" wheel studs who broke BOTH 33 spline c clip elim axles at the hubs

here is the video at Cecil

Where you on radials last night Mike? I have heard the same, A 2.3 guy that runs a lot at E-Town told me he has seen it several times. Sort of why a radial doesent work real well on a stick car, they try to ball up then unload into spin when the wall wont flex, but if you have good HP, they keep trying to ball up and unload resulting in violent shake. Never really seen it myself, but we were talking about this when I was thinking of going to the MT Radials. Thats why I left the QTP's and went back to my ET streets (goofey axles in mine).

Add that stuff to your suspension on the green car, and its real possible ;) That or you just beat the studs up, what where they?

I wish I was there, I usually watch you car run and could have seen what happened. Did anyone get it on tape??

Mike had more tire shake than most top fuel dragsters. I'm surprised he didn't have to pick up his fillings off of the floor:astonished:
