I'm stickin with Yamaha for starters. I'm torn between a YFZ450 and a 450 wolverine. I like the idea of the YFZ being 2wd and its extremely fast and light. On the other hand, I tend to beleive I'll be riding more trails and muddy areas, hence needing 4x4 which the wolverine offers.
I've read the wolverine is switchable from 4x4 to 4x2. In 2wd mode, would the wolverine handle some smaller jumps and such?
Thanks in advance!

u1arunit has a Wolverine. Im sure he can chime in on them. I have a Z400, and other than not much clearance under the rear axle, the sport quads are a lot of fun. The Wolverine seems to have the best of both worlds. I know that you wanted to stay Yamaha, but you may also want to look at the can-am renegade series, I believe. They are like the Wolverine, but I have read some good things about them. Good luck. I myself have been quad crazy since I started the hobby. My poor stang just sits now.

Still in the process of that, but I need to have some fun. Besides, I'm gonna trade my 05 R6 in on whichever quad I get.

I'm sure we could work something out. I've actually got enough money saved up to do something like that right now. I should really spend it on other stuff, but hey... it's hard to pass up a good deal

Danny you can ride my Wolvy if you come over. I like it a lot. It can handle jumps and most anything else you can encounter on the trails. I go up hills that are pretty huge and I have never gotten stuck in the mud and we go thru some pretty crappy areas.

Marky,
I found a dealer in ohio that will sell me a brand new 07 leftover for $4399 OTD. Think thats a good deal? This is for a Wolverine 450 4x4

Found an awesome deal @ a small dealership in Waynesburg, went and picked it up after work tonight. Got an 03 Raptor 660R. Decided I want to go the sport quad direction so this should be fun for a while. I miss the dirt and can't wait to go rippin sunday. Bike is extremely clean, I was surprised, very well taken care of. Already has an aftermarket header and pipe, along with a few other things.
Theres about 8 of us riding this sunday, who else wants to role?

Not sure exactly, but think over here in Plum. Theres a HUGE old slag dumps that lots of people ride at. Miles and miles of hills, jumps, trails, etc etc.... Bunch of people even made some table tops in there. let me know if your interested
