whats everyones opinions on what a decent fox should cost. Top dollar for me would be 5 grand and that has to be a clean title no cosmetic defects other then maybe some chips and a complete decent interior. A few mods are ok or mostly stock with low miles. I may buy a fox here shortly as a project and there are tons for sale on ebay and used car lots but I prefer buying from private seller. I see alot of over priced cars and I would say a fixer upper is around a grand for worth in my book. LETS DISCUSS!!:laughing1:

These cars are gold right now, seems lately junk is 5,000 and the nice cars start at 6,000. Sure deals are still out there but not like there used to be.

depends on the seller/buyer.
what they think its worth and what a buyer will pay.
i have come to my senses, gonna lose over 1k on the GT when i sell it, but i want to move now so it time to cut losses.

one thing i will tell you is its a buyers market for sure.
don't know if its the economy or what, but prices on all cars seem to be dropping some-people just don't seem to be spending the kind of money for cars/car parts that they were say a year ago...
i follow vintage mustangs and for the time being the bubble has seem to burst on some of them that fastbacks and convertibles are starting to be affordable again.
he who has cash in hand has leverage unless its some super fantastic steal of a deal.
i am pretty confident for around 5K you can find a nice car. Pgh area is not the only place with mustangs. check out corral.net for more of a variety.

i think there getting harder to find. if u find a nice one hte seller wants you to pay for them keeping it in there garage, and the time and money they put into it. you should be able to find a nice one for 6000 though, there out there.

the older they get the harder they are to find not all rusted up so you're gonna pay for it.Seems better to buy a heavily modded car cause it seems liek they can't get the money out of them and it would take you twiced the amount you paid for it to build it,but the last 2 cars I have sold I got what I thought was "good money".I got out of them almost what I had in them.I only had one phone call on each car and they both bought them.I got lucky and found people who were looking for exactly what I had
I will not however buy a basically stock mustang for 5k or so when I can find cars with stroker motors, good trannies, and full suspension for 7k or so.I would tell you what I paid for the car below but I found a car I can get alot more than I paid for it.LOL

i have always loved the fox's but they are totally overrated and overpriced imo. i think it just boils down to what you want and what you can afford. i have always wanted a notch but just never fell into a good, solid clean car. every time i found one the owner wanted way more than i felt it was worth. i ended up just picking up a good shell for a build up while i had the chance, im sure if i change my mind i'll get my money back out of it!!!!

I would guess about $5K for a nice solid car. A primo convertible maybe $6K-$7K. A goog driver, Jared's for example, is at a fair frice from $2700-$3500.
I am not trying to push his car. I never met him but I would have bought the car for a driver for about $3000.
My thing is four eyed 85-86 Convertibles. I have a GT hatch back and a project notchback but I need to get that 85-86 convert.....................One Day:twothumbsup:
