is it enough backpressure?

ok so withmy new exhaust set up im worried that i will not have enough backpressure. It will go hookerlongtubes 3inch collector to the offroad hooker xpipe that goes from 3 inch to 2.5 an then i have slp loudmouth catback which dont even have anything in the mufflers. will this cause my motor to blow or will the back pressure be fine?

You'll be fine!!! In my personal opinion, if you have anything even slightly out of wack, its that you're going DOWN to a 2.5" exhaust from 3" headers/xpipe

Lack of back pressure doesnt burn out exhaust valves the way i hear it used to on the older muscle cars

You won't have any problems. My MAC LT's have a 3" collector, to a 3" Dr. Gas off-road X and then right at the cat-back drops down to 2.5" and goes into my Dynomax Ultraflow cat-back that are basically strait through mufflers. My 88LX drag car has the Hooker LT and then just dumps with no other exhaust on the car. Never had any problems other than it's very loud :goodidea:

Any piping that exhaust gasses are routed through causes backpressure. The only time you'd have to be concerned is if you were running the motor without headers or manifolds. Bish is correct...no worries about the exhaust valves

I ran my Mac exhaust wit my long tubes and o/r x and i was consistant 13.3s then I raced it wit my SLP loud mouth I exhaust and I lost around 3-5 tenths on the quarter mile... I run my car now wit my Mac exhaust and Selling the SLP... I thought it was a waste of money to by the SLP but wat the hell ya gonna do...

ya i think its going to be ridiculously loud with the slp thats why i made a thread to see if anyone wanted to trade mac for slp lol

Yeah I have both exhaust systems, and i switch back and forth sumtimes... slp sounds sick as hell wit the long tubes and the o/r xpipe... also the Flowmaster american thunder kit sounds good too...
